  • Shop for what you need, keep left overs for lunch and focus on specials. Solid nutritional value provides a holistic approach to
a range of benefits. Amazing fried rice and soups can be made from leftovers

  • I shop online, I am not privy to the temptations of shopping in-store and it keeps my grocery bill down at least $50 to $100 a week!

  • Always go through catalogues for specials first and make a list and stick to it. Activate any everyday rewards offers. Buy multiples when on special. Buy home brand where possible.

  • I look to see what I have in the cupboard meal plane to what I have and looking also to what is on special and stick to my list

  • I always just buy groceries I use all the time when they are on special and buy multiple.

  • I like to use woolsworths Rewards whilst shopping. I also look for sales and discounts on items I probably will get anyway.

  • Have a budgeted amount of money to spend and base your supermarket shopping list only on what you don’t have, or have run out of and always be stocked up on basics: oil, onions, tomato paste, salt|pepper|seasoning, potatoes, rice, protein (meat|eggs), as many tasty meals can be made on them.

  • I always create a meal plan and plan out our family meals each week, then do a big grocery shop once a week. This has saved me lots of money by not going to Woolies everyday and buying extra stuff we don’t really need.

  • Browse the catalogue v- buy only seasonal, make a list and stick to it.

  • I save time shopping online, in doing so I always look at the half price specials. if it’s something we regularly buy anyway I’ll stock up and grab a few. My car insurance is also with woolies so 10% off a shop every month which is a top bonus.

  • I use the Woolworths app to check on price per unit for similar items, check on specials particularly for items I buy regularly and 2 for 1 offers on non-perishables, and I shop at times when ad hoc specials are likely to be offered

  • Make a list and check it twice and then stick to it. And DON’T shop when hungry – ever!!

  • Check for sales and always scan, grab half-price deals where you can! Use Woolies rewards for points that soar, stock up on basics, save even more. Plan your meals, avoid food waste—stretching your budget with money-saving haste!

  • Make a list before going to the supermarket – this helps to stop me making impulse purchases and spend more than we have budgeted for

  • Check the catalogue for all the specials and stock up on 1/2 price items

  • Have a rewards card or 2, always great saving offered. 1st place to visit when you walk in the store is the sell offs. Very cheap prices, allot of the items offered can be frozen. Also watch for half price specials …

  • I plan meals around weekly specials which makes it exciting each week as to what will be on the menu and buy in bulk for non-perishables! I also stick to a shopping list and avoid impulse buys to keep our budget on track.

  • Buy bulk, buy on sale and buy often to capture the clearance items. Be flexible on your menu and use what you get on special each week and freeze of need be.

  • Matriarch of huge family, budgeting in my DNA.
Tuesdays check Woolworths online for Wednesday specials.
Purchase non-perishables in multiples when half price. Purchase Bakery markdowns.
Purchase fresh whole chickens, good price, great roast dinner. Leftover chicken portioned into freezer bags later used for chicken pies, chicken quiche, chicken curry.

  • Plan ahead and plan detailed meals. Know what is on sale and stock up on 1/2 price options if you can. Then stick to the meal plan. Also, if possible shop without the kids. I can focus and get a much better shop done on my own.
