    I grabbed the IGA hot chicken and completely forgot about it, so we ended up using it the next day in toasted sandwiches. It was still really tasty, juicy, and full of flavour. It made such a good sandwich, and everyone enjoyed it. Definitely something I'd buy again for an easy meal.

    Favourite roast chook from anywhere by far. Nothing comes close great flavour. And always hot and fresh.

  • A Family Favourite

    I love the taste of the Hot Chicken, yummy skin on the outside, soft mouth watering tender chicken, the stuffing is a winner, it was evenly cooked & a good sized chook.

    The whole Family said it tasted delicious and they love the chicken skin. I served it with gravy, baked veges and broccoli & peas. Which made a wholesome dinner. They want me to get more chicken for tomorrow night’s dinner.

    On our next picnic I’ll buy a few hot chooks to make chicken sandwiches.

    The bag seals well, so no leakage of any chicken juices.

    I’d also like to make curry chicken and rice, easy as, the chicken is already cooked, so perfect when the family has busy times.

    I’ll Definitely be buying more hot chooks from IGA, they have mine & the Families tick of Approval.

  • Quickest dinner!

    I was actually surprised of how delicious the hot roast chicken tasted, it was fresh and moist with great seasoning. My whole family really enjoyed it. When short on time an IGA hot roast chicken is the go to as it can be paired with pretty much anything or eaten on its own. Such great value and we will be purchasing our hot roast chickens from IGA from now on.

  • Actually the best chicken

    I was so pleasantly surprised. That was the best roast chook I’ve ever eaten. It was beautifully cooked and deliciously crunchy skin on the outside. The whole family commented how delicious it was. I will 100% be purchasing again and I can’t wait to tell everyone about it! Highly recommend!

  • Easy & convenient

    After a busy weekend doing all of our errands

    The last thing I wanna do is waste time when I could be spending it with my family

    I love the convenience of picking up an IGA hot roast chicken

    The chicken was soft and juicy and hot like it just came out of the oven

    We added hours to a quick pasta and the chicken was such a good size that it gave us plenty of leftover meat to use for sandwiches and wraps for the week

    I did know IGA did hot chickens until now, and it’s honestly a game changer to our busy weeknights, the chicken was fresh, juicy and full of flavour and budget friendly.   • Well that’s an easy dinner!

    Definitely recommend the IGA roast chook for a quick weeknight dinner win! I was very short on time this week running the kids everywhere, but needed to ensure I could feed them a well balanced and nutritious dinner quickly. I purchased a roast chicken from IGA along with the freshly made dinner rolls, sliced cheese, bag of spinach and a tomato. It made for a really tasty quick dinner which almost felt like we were having takeaway. The kids were very happy and I was able to make it quickly, feed them fast and get back onto the various sport drop offs/pick up’s. Later that evening I put the remainder of the carcass into a pot with some veggies and simmered it for several hours to make a stock for my freezer stock.

  • Succulent and generous!

    IGA’s Hot roast chicken is the thickest and heaviest chicken I have ever purchased. With competitor’s chickens, I rarely get left-overs for our family of six, however the IGA chicken was generous and plump. Succulent and not at all dry, it was moist and came with the right amount of stuffing. The skin was seasoned and tasty and I was very impressed with the temperature of the chicken, it was piping hot making it ideal as a convenient meal from shop to table.

    The price point was very reasonable, making it an affordable and healthy dinner either as is, or as an accompaniment to sides etc. We ate it with salads and wraps and with the leftovers chicken noodle soup. All in all, I would recommend IGA’s hot chickens as a convenient, generous tasty meal idea for lunch and or dinner.

  • A Clucking Delicious Deal

    The IGA Hot Roast Chicken is an absolute winner for value, taste and mealtime convenience — a lifesaver for this full-time working mum of twin toddlers who doesn't always have time to cook from scratch. The versatility is what really sets it apart; enjoy it as is, toss it through a salad or wrap, or stretch it further into fried rice and pasta dishes for multiple meals. The only downside in our household is that the stuffing contains wheat and gluten, meaning our coeliac family member misses out on the experience.

  • Easy Donner thanks to IGA

    After a long day at worn IGA made dinner easy. Picked up a hot roast chicken and dinner was in the table in 30 mins. Great quality, tender and full of flavour. Will definitely visit again !

  • It is so much better than other chooks!

    I thought it would be somewhat like other grocery store chooks but you can tell the difference even from the smell! It did not have that typical grocery store hot chicken chemically seasoning taste, it was like a restaurant roasted chicken which was so good! I would 100% recommend this over any other grocery store hot roasted chicken!

  • There were only two chickens left when I picked this one up around 4:45pm so hopefully more were on their way for any dinner time rush. It was a bit of a wait at the deli area to be served but staff were super friendly. We just got back from a trip away in the afternoon and were too tired to do grocery shopping. Grabbing an IGA roast chicken and some tomatoes/lettuce was the perfect way to make the loaf of bread we already had into a delicious and super easy dinner that we all enjoyed, with leftover chicken for tomorrow!

    The chicken itself was great, so succulent and had a great flavour. I really couldn't justify cooking one myself when you consider the cost and effort, so I may buy this again in the future to serve with home roasted veggies.

  • Love this meal hack!

    As a busy mum, I am always looking for ways to make mealtime easier, and boy oh boy, are the IGA hot chickens a great, cost-effective meal hack.

    For just $12, I put together a meal for my family, and best of all, my toddler loved it and ate it all! And to top it off, she asked for more chicken. I would highly recommend!

    Who doesn't love. a hot deli chook? Especially when it is seasoned to perfection and so juicy and tender! We loved the IGA hot roast chicken. They are always fresh and delicious meaning they are a winner for the whole family. They are always readily available at my local IGA also which is just so easy for when we need a quick dinner

  • The IGA roast chicken was fresh, juicy, and full of flavour. The skin was nicely seasoned with a delicious golden crisp, while the meat stayed tender and moist. It's great value for money and perfect for a quick, easy meal. I would no doubt buy it again especially if I'm running out of ideas for meal preparation and I want something quick and easy on the table to feed my family of 5!

  • Dinner made easy and free

    The chicken was hot, fresh and juicy and the whole family loved it! Hubby's review of the skin and stuffing (he was the only one to eat those parts) was that they were ok but could have had more flavour. It easily fed my family of 4 and we have leftovers for tomorrow. We paired it with some roast vegies for a delicious Sunday roast meal.

  • So easy and convenient

    Tasted great and everyone loved it. Was able to use it between the 3 of us (2 adults & 1 child (10)) for 2 lunches and 2 dinners. We made pizzas with it one night and chicken pesto pasta another night. For lunches we added as part of our platter style lunch plate. Good value for money. Highly recommend.

  • I have been a Purkle member for 10 years now. At the moment I have over $100 I am able to convert. Surveys can take any where from 3 minutes to 30 minutes and vary in amount you earn. It’s a great way to earn some money when you have free time. I am pretty slack at opening the emails so if I was more attentive I could have earnt a lot more.

  • I have been a Purkle member for approximately 10 years. I have redeemed hundreds of dollars over that time. Once you join, you receive survey invitations via email. I probably receive one invite per week. Some surveys are 5 minutes, others 30 minutes, some hours which enable you to log in and log out to complete. Incentives vary. It does take a while to add up but if you leave the incentives untouched, they eventually add up over time. It’s my little Purple bank account I have in the background of everything else I do.

  • I have been with Purkle for a bit but I actually haven’t seen their email a for a while. I probably should check my account online and check if my emails are going to spam as the emails are what prompts me to go online and complete the available surveys.

  • I have been with purkle for a long time on average cash in about 300 a year, it’s very easy to convert money to useable vouchers. I find it easier to just fill in whilst watching tv or something. Sometimes there are gaps with surveys but tend to save them till end of year anyway

  • I actually signed up to Purkle a few years ago and didn’t really make much money then! Its a good article though, and thanks for the reminder to log back in and do some surveys! Both my kids are at school now, so I do have some more spare time to fill!

  • Tried it before and it’s definitely one of the better companies to do surveys with. They make it so easy, the website is easy to navigate and the surveys are generally not too long. It’s easy to do whilst on the couch or filling in time! Definitely worth checking out to earn some extra cash.

  • Purkle is fun! Not a lot to earn from but if you like filling up surveys or voicing ypir opinions, it is definitely worth a try. Sometimes there are survey on music which are the most fun ones and also, these are the ones that reward the most. Not bad to earn a gift card or 2 in a year!
