If your kids are anything like ours, they copy a lot of what we do!

And these gorgeous twins are no different, mimicking their Daddy’s sneeze.

Check out the hilarious video below:

Do your kids mimic you? If yes, what did they do?

  • I know a lad who at just over 2 year old who was taught to say please and thank you which he learnt quite well. Now suddenly if you say “what do you say?” to remind him, sometimes he says “what do you say?” instead of thank you. In the last fortnight or so he is copying his Mum’s cheeky face expression. If you say to him”are you being cheeky?’ he says “yes”.

    • lol kids are always cheeky like that hey

  • It seems it’s only humans that mimic each other. I know a dog that mimics her owner’s sneeze.

  • There there is a loud noise, we used to say noisy. Now if I use a food processor our little one reckons it is noisy so he says “noisy” covers his ears and runs up the passage away from it. Looks really funny sometimes when you see the expression on his little face.

  • So cute ! Most are good at mimicking coughs too. I used to find it hard to tell the difference in the early stage. My great niece does the same eye expressions as her Mum and has done since she was about 6 months old. It didn’t take her much longer to copy her cheeky grin and turn of the head either. She is so much like her Mum it isn’t funny. Looks, personality, sayings that her Mum hasn’t used since she was about the same age. It is uncanny sometimes.

Yes my kids mimic! Mr 4 stands with his hands on his hips and bosses around Mr 3. (Like I do when I’m serious with them)

  • yes they do! Your actions can come back to haunt you especially as they get older and you are trying to get your point across and they use your logic!

  • YES! OMG you have to be so careful. I had my sisters kids in the car when a ‘idiot’ cut me off and I called him some choice words. The next day my brother-in-law came and got the kids and he experienced a similar incident on the way home and his son yelled out what I had said instantly. When asked who told him those words he dobbed me in big time. Mind you my brother in law was laughing inside.

  • My eldest son mimicked us all the time, the most memorable one was when I was sick. I had a bad cough for nearly 2 weeks and by the end of it he was fake coughing along with me. He got so good at it that he freaked out his grandmother, she was convinced he was choking!
