It’s time to get the kids doing some Easter crafts so we’ve found 12 easy and cute crafts that will keep the kids entertained and happy in the lead up to Easter!

Easter crafts are one of the more fun and less consumerist aspects of Easter. It gets the house or classroom feeling festive and decorative, and steers kids away from the insane hype about chocolate. Easter crafts, or any crafts for that matter, are a time-honoured fun and creative activity for children to do. If you need to get them off the video games, out of the chocolates or out of the sun on a crazy hot day, then Easter crafts are a great afternoon activity to keep them occupied. Creative activities are also really important for children’s development, and doing them with someone – a friend, a sibling or a parent – compounds that developmental benefit.

Most of these Easter crafts ideas use your regular crafts supplies – paper, paints and paddle pop sticks. Some of the more unique Easter crafts in this list use pegs, pom poms, pipe cleaners, paper plates and even potatoes! Easter crafts like these are also a great way to repurpose some materials in your paper recycling. The affordances of cardboard are practically limitless to a child’s brain!
