We’ve all been there right, you bring your little bubba into bed for a snuggle and hopefully to get a few extra minutes of shut eye…

You picture the most beautiful little cuddles and sleeping soundly next to each other for hours on end….

But in reality THIS happens:

Does your baby think it’s playtime when you don’t?

  • Yep, babies sure do have a mind of their own.

  • so true! Never share a bed with a baby – they always think it’s play time!

  • That is just so cute, terribly frustrating if you want to sleep but the cuteness, the kisses!!!

  • This is what happens still, with an 18month and a 3 year old! Only they do it to each other now, I just get to giggle.

  • of course when you are around they can think it is playtime too! Is annoying at times but true. My Mum long ago used to lay down with me and read a story, we both would end up having a sleep believe me.We also need time out with kids you see
something pretty to see, outdoor beauty instead of me. Also lavender scent freshener in babies room is another soother and calming too
photo for fun,my son’s sometimes say I am one!!

  • Yes, this happens so often. The baby refuses to sleep and does all sorts of cute & not so cute things to wake everyone up.

  • oh that last second made me laugh haha.
even though it would be upsetting and irritating at the time i find myself jealous anyway, i never got to do this with my step daughter and i wish i had.

  • Usually when you are so so tired this happens

  • Ooh yep, looks about right! :D When my son was having a bad night (he was about 2) I got him into our bed in the hopes of getting him to sleep through (he was awake and crying every 2 hours or so). Big mistake! He spent the next hour playing hide-and-seek, saying “Mummummummummum”, hi-fiving the moonbeam on the wall above the bed, staring at me (even with my eyes shut, I COULD FEEL IT!), and jumping all over the bed. Mind you, after he went back to bed he did sleep through. Either that, or I was so tired I didn’t wake up the next time he cried out!
