Article Girl invents device to stop parents forgetting their babies in the car

9 year old Sophie Lawson had a school project to invent something and she came up with the idea for the ‘Sophie’s Baby Forget-Me-Not”.

Her Mother Jenny gave Sophie the inspiration after brainstorming an idea, she said “The only thing I can think of that REALLY needs to be invented, is something to keep parents from forgetting their babies in the car.”

Using velcro and a stretchy cord, Sophie made a ‘Sophie’s Baby Forget-Me-Not’, a device that can be used to keep parents from accidentally forgetting their children in the car.

Sophie and her family aren’t selling the design. “But she doesn’t mind if you copy her design – she wants parents everywhere to make these simple devices and use them every day to ensure no one ever accidentally leaves their babies in the car again.” her Mum says.

  • Ingenious. What a clever young lady. You should patent it sweet girl. Because someone else will steel your idea and make volumes of money from your idea. And they won’t feel guilty about doing it either.
