How popular is your child's birth date?

Birth data from England and Wales has been collated to find out the most popular birth dates in the last two decades.

The data revealed that a peak in births occurred from late September to early October indicating that more babies are conceived in the lead up to and around Christmas.

September 26 was the most popular day to be born over the last two decades, which is 39 weeks and two days after Christmas day.

Similar studies in U.S. and New Zealand have shown similar results.

Both my brother and I were born in Sept (I was 6 weeks early)
The girls were born 2 days apart. Ours April, Sept., and Oct.
One family I know theirDaughter was born on their Wedding Anniversay and their son 3 years later on the same date.

My boys were born middle of July and middle of March. To me these are the best dates because it’s when they were born

Mine is the end of August – so very close to the most popular month.

Haha, I’m not surprised. There seems to be a theme there. I also hear that 9 months post-football Grand Finals etc, there seems to be a surge, too! My son was born in April and it was all determined from IVF and embryo transfers. I was just ecstatic to finally be pregnant.

I wonder why more babies are conceived in the lead up to and around Christmas. Is it the the excitement and expectation of the season ? Is there more love towards each other during this season ?

Our kids are born on the 11 of July, the 5th of August, the 27th of February and the 6th of November…for all of them this is the most popular day in their life 🙂

My daughter was born at the end of August. Not a busy time, looking at the graphic! 🙂
