Is your linen cupboard filled with messy fitted sheets like mine?

Learn how to fold a fitted sheet perfectly and make some space in your linen cupboard today.

Look at the difference!

Step 1: Hold two corners of your sheet

Step 2: Fold one corner into the other

Step 3 and 4: Fold 3rd and 4th corners, one at a time, up to the join

Step 5: Lay sheet down on table

Step 6: Fold sheet width ways into thirds (quarters if it’s a queen or king sized sheet)

Step 7: Fold length ways into thirds (or quarters)

You’re done!

I tried this and after a couple of goes, I found this very easy and quick once you get the hang of it your linen cupboard will never look so tidy.

Try it and let me know how you go in the comments below.

  • I usually roll it up into a ball, peg it as hard as I can into the linen press and slam the door shut before it escapes

  • I’ve tried but never got the hang of it. Perhaps I’ll give it another go.

  • hah you make it look so easy, I still cannot master it!

  • A male friend taught me this ages ago. It’s great!

  • I definitely needed to see this. Mine end up in a demented heap haha. Thanks for sharing!

  • Once you see this it looks so easy

  • Hold each corner, screw in to a ball and toss in the cupboard hehe so frustrating

  • So good, I need to practice. Sometimes even my folded sheets look like her messy one!

  • It actually works, these easy steps have been a game changed for my linen cupboard.

  • I was shown this about 10 years ago and have never looked back!

  • Fantastic, looks so much more neater.

  • Very similar to how I fold, I try to turn it into a square then roll it up together

  • I recently bought some new fitted sheets which only had elastic at the ends. I was surprised but they stay firn on the beds the same as those I have with elastic around the edge of the whole sheet.
    They dry quicker too.

  • Must admit it does look great and neat and much less bulkier.

  • I just tried this with BLACK SATIN fitted sheet! It was a bit of fun. It will take a bit of practise but it does work .
