I don’t own a tiered cupcake stand as I have nowhere to store it and I would barely use it….. But I’ve discovered you can easily make your own disposable one in minutes for your party and they look great.

How to make your own disposable tiered serving tray

What you’ll need:

  • 2 disposable cups
  • 3 disposable plates
  • Super glue

Instructions:

  1. Glue a disposable cup to the middle of a disposable plate.
  2. Place glue on rim of cup and stick another plate on top.
  3. Repeat to make another layer if you need and leave to dry.
  4. Get baking and then display the cakes or biscuits on your stand.

I love this idea; it’s fast, easy and will look great for parties.

  • Now that is very cute and certainly worth remembering.

  • Great idea! You would need to be careful though as disposable plates can be very flimsy. Don’t want a collapse of cakes

  • Well, this is just brilliant and I absolutely love it. Who would have thought!? And I agree, I don’t have anywhere to store one so don’t own one. I’ll definitely be using this idea for many things – not just cakes!

  • I love the idea. But wouldn’t easily tip over? As it seems a bit light weight. I would be inclined to place weights of some kind so it would sit better

  • An alternative is to use empty washed aluminium food cans wrapped with plain or patterned paper.

  • Easy to do, but sorry it doesn’t look very nice. And by the time you buy all the materials is it not just easier to buy a real stand that you can use over and over?
