Love chai and looking for a new breakfast? Here is the perfect healthy breakfast full of flavour and perfect for cool mornings.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamon
  • 1/4 ground turmeric
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup oats
  • 2 tbsp oat bran

Method:

  1. Place milk and spices in a saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  2. Add honey, vanilla, oats and oat bran and cook on medium to low heat for 25 minutes.
  3. Serve with fresh fruit and additional honey if you wish.
  4. Eat!

  • This is a healthy start to the day. Some say Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I would tend to put in some of the spices and taste it before putting the rest of it in, especially as it has 3 in it. You can add it, but if it’s too spicy you can’t take it out.
