Justin Timberlake and his wife Jessica Biel have welcomed their first child together.

According to Peoplereps for the couple have confirmed that mother and baby are doing well, and dad is ‘ecstatic’ after the arrival of baby boy named Silas Randall Timberlake.

The name Silas is a nod to Timberlake’s maternal grandfather, while Randall is the Suit & Tie singer’s middle name, along with his father’s first name.

Timberlake’s mum Lynn Harless took to Facebook to share her excitement, posting:

Despite much speculation in the early stages, the couple didn’t confirm they were expecting their first child until Timberlake posted this touching photo on his birthday in February:

Thank you EVERYONE for the Bday wishes! This year, I’m getting the GREATEST GIFT EVER. CAN’T WAIT. #BoyOrGirl #YouNeverKnow #WeDontEvenKnow#WeAreTakingBets

Timberlake couldn’t contain his excitement at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, making special mention of his wife in his acceptance speech.

‘You can’t have innovation without creation, so finally, I want to thank my best friend, my favorite collaborator — my wife, Jessica, at home, who’s watching.”

“I can’t wait to see our greatest creation yet,” he continued. “Daddy’s heading home right now to innovate by learning how to change a poopy diaper and get my swaddle on!”

We know you will join us in congratulating Justing & Jessica at this very special time.

  • Love the pregnancy photo Justin posted.
All four of our kids were named after close family members. My grandmother beamed each time that, “at least you could pronounce them and spell them”. I’m amazed going back through the family tree how many other names linked in.

  • My daughter has my mother-in-law’s middle name as her first name and my middle name (and my mum’s middle name) as her middle name.

  • SO love the photo of Justin kissing Jessica’s tum.
My daughter (the eldest) has her own name ..and not named after anyone in the family.
My son’s first name is a form of his father’s and his middle name is my mums fathers name
(my mum never got to see my son) so giving him my grandfathers name as his middle name was kind of a way of honouring my wonderful mum. :-)

    I have 3 girls…..
The eldest has an adaptation of a nickname that was given to my grandfather….
my middle daughter had a part of my name as her middle name
the youngest has the first part of her Dads sisters name as her middle name which also happens to be my great grandmothers name.

So kinda sorta named after family.
