Oh my goodness, what an insanely messed up person. I can’t even fathom what goes on in someone’s mind to do such a horrendous act on a baby. This person definitely deserves to be away from society, but I also hope they get the mental health assistance and therapy that they obviously need. This doesn’t sound like someone who was sound of mind

What a horrible thing to happen! Unfortunately, I have experienced someone having a blackout and becoming cruel and having no recollection of what they did. Was a whole other personality. They would go to the heater and turn it up high, too. Very strange…

What a tragic story. She deserves life sentence.

I don’t understand how a parent could do this to their child or how anyone could to this. There is way too many horrible stories about kids being hurt or killed by the ones who are supposed to protect them

There was a stepfather who did the same thing about 30 years ago. The Mum had gone out and left the baby home for him to care for. The baby’s paternal Father was supposed to have had him the following day.

As a mother this really is confronting, Ive never understood it when a mother chooses to hurt their child instead of getting help. There is obviously some deep seeded mental issues with this lady. Little baby is in goods care now xx

I can’t even begin to imagine how a person could do something like this to anyone, let alone a helpless baby. What a truly horrible story.

what a horrible thing to do! So much cruelty and harm to babies and children in many obnoxious ways. The mother getting life sentence does not stop such acts of violence and abuse. Feel that there should also be more services,awareness and help to prevent such things happening. Do not know the story but it applies to lots of areas in life that do not have preventative measures and support that people this includes men can contact if they have feelings that may endanger others. I am serious. I belong to a group of women who are survivours of child abuse, the damage is internalised (and does not show on outside) emotionally damaged and without help end up in mental hosppitals, self abuse or death. Have we learned nothing from the battleground of history, or do we not care?. It says this woman has three other children who I presume from article are ok, so something has I feel occured to make her do this horrible act to tiny baby, I am serious and alarmed at such gross acts of violence. Are we creating anattitude of do not care? for this horror and many other sensless (to me) acts of violence in theworld we live in, this includes wars,devistation of our planet. But children,animals are at the mercy of us all as human! beings…..

if she had a seizure did the microwave shut the door itself. if she has split personality disorder why not put her in the microwave so it can be cooked out of her l wonder what she would feel like if her organs were cooked. For a mother who is suppose to protect a defenceless child to be able to do that to her own child and with three other children, did they see anything or hear anything how disgusting. As our laws are so lenient l bet she gets off saying she has a mental condition. If only the defenceless baby could say that.

This story makes me feel physically ill as it is so shocking. This is truly an unimaginable and horrific crime and the pain the poor baby suffered is devastating.

There really needs to be a screening for those women who are pregnant, start child protection before whilst they are still in the womb.
