Hello!

Louis Vuitton has released its very first collection for babies, and it’s safe to say the fashion powerhouse’s new range carries some eye-watering price tags.

Louis Vuitton’s first collection for newborns and babies features everything from $2000 rompers to $700 baby shoes, a $1000 knitted cardigan and even a six-figure baby wardrobe – that doesn’t actually come with any clothes.

According to Louis Vuitton the ‘timeless offering accompanies babies during their earliest days. Featuring the Meli-Melo motif, the Maison’s iconic signatures are reinterpreted with childlike whimsy’.

Now, as pricey as these pieces are, they are intended to be ‘treasured and passed down’, according to LV, with a collection of ‘everyday designs and special occasion styles that can become life-long keepsakes’.

So here’s a little taste of what’s available, but in keep in mind, with the collection only launching this month, some pieces are already sold out.

Baby Wardrobe $105,000: Here’s LV’s description of this iconic, but super exxy piece! “The Baby Wardrobe is a reinterpretation of one of the most iconic product of the Maison : the Wardrobe, created in 1875. The Baby Wardrobe is the perfect trunk to accompany a lifetime, it can be gifted for a birth and kept all lifelong thanks to its versatility.”

Silver Rattle $2,290: Not sure we’d want a baby mouthing this rattle, which is crafted from sterling silver. However LV says the cold of the silver will help soothe those teething aches!

Flower Suit $1,530: Knitted from finest cashmere this baby suit features engraved mother-of-pearl buttons.

  • As an art piece, beautiful. As functional, worn baby wear, outrageous.

  • What it would be to have this kind of money! Certainly not a world I’m living in lol

    Reply

  • I could do so much more with the money than buy that. Babies all pooh and spew regardless of how much that clothes cost.

  • I don’t think I recognise the world this sort of thing is for. If you have the money for this, you could do something far more meaningful, like put it in a savings account for when the baby is an adult…. this is for the mega wealthy, I get it, but honestly with kids going hungry in the world due to war and famine, Im not sure how you could be okay with spending this much on a label for a baby….obv it’s about ingratiating yourself with the baby’s family…. it’s just another market to LV. I dont think the world needs more luxury niche label lust tat.

  • Clearly for parents with too much money.

  • Beautiful items but the prices are over the top.

  • Holy moly I would never even contemplate buying any baby clothes at those prices, babies/toddlers grow up so far I personally find it would be a waste

    Reply

  • OMG! this is disgusting. Why would you pay that much for baby products which will only last a few months maybe. Its all for showing off. Yes the products are lovely but really!

    Reply

  • Insanely expensive and grown out of within a month… this is why some people are starving. The wealth is horded by the wealthy and all they do is buy silly trinkets.

  • This collection is not appealing to me, prefer colours that pop.

  • Cashmere baby suits ! They would be so squishy and adorable in these :)

    Reply

  • My gosh it is beautiful but the price is out of this world

    Reply

  • Even if I had the money, I wouldn’t pay that. Smart company would dress up babies at affordable prices. so adults see and want to buy.
    Call it baby marketing.
I bet same material as kmart lol.

  • Even as keepsakes I can’t see this being a particularly popular range.

    Reply

  • This is insane! I doubt many people can afford to even think about buying any of this stuff!

    • Insane indeed ! Can’t say that I like it that much

      • I agree, putting the cost to the side, wish it had more colour.

  • Gorgeous! If I could afford it then maybe? lol

    Reply

  • I guess if you can afford it…..

  • How ridiculous!
But if people want to be greedy and materialistic, who am l to tell them not to waste their money?
