Lovely news for Jennifer Love Hewitt!

A rep for the always glowing Jennifer Love Hewitt and her husband Brian Hallisay, 36, has shared some very exciting news.

The Party of Five actress announced in January that she was expecting her second child, and today it has been confirmed that the star welcomed a baby boy into the world on Wednesday.

The couple, who married in 2013 and are already parents to 19-month-old Autumn James, have named their new arrival Atticus James Hallisay.

Jennifer has spoken openly in the past about not having a nurse or a nanny, and she even revealed to Jimmy Kimmel just how helpful her husband was in the delivery room when she gave birth to Autumn in 2013:

“He should be a male doula.”

“I was really worried that I was going to get that face — ‘Mmm, what’s happening here?’ — and I’m not good at the faces so I would’ve been like, ‘What does that mean? What does that mean!’”

“But he was just like, ‘This is great. I am so proud of you right now. This is awesome, you look beautiful.’ Like, he said all of the right things, I was really proud of him.”

Congratulations Jen on the safe arrival of your son, Atticus. I’ve loved watching her over the years and am enjoying her in Criminal Minds at the moment. My hubby was very helpful in the delivery room. He kept me calm and supported me, while keeping everyone updated and out of the way. He was most helpful when I passed out after the birth – something I’m prone to do at times. The midwife was shocked at him slapping me (gently), only for him to say, I’ve done this before!!
