These blankets are easy to make and make a thoughtful and extra special gift for someone who is having a baby.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 metre fabric x 2 pieces
  • pen
  • scissors
  • ruler
  • pins
  • cotton
  • needle

Step 1. Measure a 91.44cm square on both fabrics.

Step 2. Cut measured squares out

Step 3. Place fabric together and fold edges in 2.5 cm on each side, twice and pin.

Step 4. Hand or machine sew edges.

  • More a wrap then a blanket. It would need something warm between the two pieces of fabric fir it to be a blanket. I like the trimming

  • I’m going to make some of these for my first baby due in April. My grandmother was teaching me to make things like this before she passed away and I have lots of her fabric so it will be extra special
