Check out our mini-makeover ideas that will have you feeling great at home and falling in love with your bathroom all over again!

When it comes to a bathroom makeover, it’s easy to dream of a luxurious, Insta-worthy update but so much harder to know where to start. If you are looking to give your bathroom a refresh on a budget, check out these mini-makeover ideas that will take it from boring to blissful and make you #FeelGreatAtHome in no time.

Refresh Your Cabinets

A tired bathroom cabinet is often the first clue that your bathroom is in desperate need of an update but it can also be one of the most costly items to replace. If you don’t want to purchase a vanity, the good news is that there are some easy ways to refresh rather than replace, saving you time and money. If you have a painted timber cabinet, a fresh coat of paint in an on-trend colour can make the world of difference. For laminate or stone surfaces, simply updating handles and knobs can elevate the overall look and modernise older-style cabinet fronts for a fraction of the cost of replacing them.

Give Your Tiles A Deep Clean

Even though we like to think our weekly bathroom cleaning does the job, sometimes nothing beats a thorough once-over of your tiled surfaces to make them look good as new. The Vileda Easy Wring  & Clean Turbo Spin Mop is the best product you can get when it comes to an unbeatable deep clean, removing 99% of bacteria with just water. Comprised of millions of tiny synthetic fibres to loosen and physically pick up dirt and bacteria, there’s no need to use harsh chemicals to get the results you want. The premium Vileda Easy Wring & Clean Turbo Spin Mop set contains a 100% microfibre mop and spin wring bucket with a foot pedal for easy and effortless wringing and quicker floor cleaning.

For those hard-to-reach corners, the Vileda Bath Magic Shower and Bath Cleaning System is a no-brainer addition to the cleaning team, reducing the need for bending and stretching, with a short handle and specially designed swivel head to navigate tight spaces. This is one dream team that you’ll want on your side to give your bathroom a much-needed mini makeover and #FeelGreatAtHome!

Easy Ways To Makeover Your Bathroom From Boring To Blissful

Change Your Colour Scheme

Bathroom accessories are an affordable and easy way to update your space, particularly if you are starting with a neutral colour palette. Take the time to research on-trend colours and seasonal shades that you can incorporate into your space with towels, soap dispensers, bath caddies and even your towel rails. It can be fun to cycle your colour palette throughout the year to keep your bathroom looking up to date, and mixing and matching a couple of colours or shades is a great way to experiment with different looks and create your own unique combinations.

Consider A Feature Wall

If the thought of taking on a whole bathroom renovation is overwhelming, a feature wall can have just as much impact for significantly less effort and expense. And whoever said paint was the only way to change things up? While it may be the most cost-effective, render, coloured tiles and timber panelling are all options to consider to transform the overall look and feel of your space. It’s amazing the difference just one wall can make to an entire bathroom! An ornate mirror or fun piece of artwork are also ways to create a feature wall effect that can be easily changed.

While these tips might seem simple, it’s often the little things that can have the biggest impact. If you’re tired of your boring bathroom and want to #FeelGreatAtHome again, try these mini-makeover suggestions and be amazed at the results!

  • My daughter has just started year 5 and I have explained everything to her from periods, the correct names for genitals, where babies come from and consent. When she asks me a curious question about things she may have heard on the radio, news or friends, I provide her with an open honest answer. I’d rather she learn it from me than the playground. I think the mother has done the right thing and it’s great that she can have an open and honest conversation with her son.

  • Love the mini-makeovers. I did a little makeover in my ensuite last year. I bought a roll of film that has a frosted look to it. Easy application, spray mirror, place film and squeegee. Looks lovely. When no longer want it there, just peels off.
