Michael Clarke and wife Kyly welcome first child

Former Australian Cricket Captain Michael Clarke and his wife Kyly have welcomed their first child together.

According to Channel Nine’s The Today Show, Karl Stefanovic made the announcement during a live cross from Paris, France where he is reporting following the tragic terror attacks.

‘I do have some very good news to report that has come to me on a completely different subject.

‘It is breaking news of the very best kind. I can report to you all back in Australia from a very good source that former Australia Cricket Captain Michael Clarke and his beautiful wife Kyly have just had a baby girl.’

‘She is five weeks premature but she is in good health and mum is also in good health,’ he added.

Congratulations to them! It is great to hear some good news after all the sadness around this week.

A big congratulations. I was just reading this week about Kyly being late December and I was chuckling at Michael wanting the baby to come in time for his sailing trip. I initially thought good luck, first baby’s come when they want, so what a surprise this news was. I hope the baby is healthy and know she will be well looked after as a premmy. How timely with all the promotion of World Premmy Day this week.

He was a terrible role model as a cricketer, threatening to break the arm of that English guy, refusing to drink with the Poms after they had beaten them etc. Hope he is a better role model as a dad.
