wow that was close! my children have some and they are not very restricted in them but i will keep this in mind

My daughter has a Frozen one she loves and the neck is quite loose, however this is a very good warning, thanks for bring it to our attention.

Very frightening. Most of the onesies my kids used had clips rather than zippers. The larger sizes I used for them with zippers also had a material tab at the top so the top of the zip was covered and they couldn’t be scratched by it. I wonder if this was a design that is different to those available in Australia. Would it meet our Australian standards?

I don’t see how this could be a normal occurence. Bonds make zippies that many people use and are designed for babies and as babies nap, they should be able to sleep in them. I think maybe this was just a freak thing that might happen to 1 in a million or even less than that.

This sounds more like a bit of a freak accident from ill fitting clothes.

I would not put a child to bed in a fleece onesie – or at least I would check if it is a natural material which does breathe.
I wonder if the child’s head was small, the neck opening large or it was a cheap design that stretches.

I wonder if this may previously been a reason for unexplained deaths. SIDS?

This is obviously concerning. I will mention it to my friends who bubs wear onesies to bed.

This does sound like it could have happened with almost any garment.
