No Pay Day For Suzi From The Block

The Block’s Suzi Taylor (from the Suzi & Vonnie team) is facing further controversy, which has caused the Nine Network to threaten to withhold her $174,500 prize money.

“Nine are threatening not to give me the money from the auction,’ Suzie told The Daily Telegraph in a recent interview.

A spokesperson from the Nine Network also confirmed to the newspaper that they had indeed suspended her payment. “Suzi has broken her contract by talking to the media. We have told her the terms of her contract many times.”

The withholding of Suzi’s prize money comes after she was reportedly ‘gagged’ from speaking to the media about The Block, due to her appearance in several topless photos which circulated media outlets in the days before the finale aired.

Only time will tell if Suzi has truly been blocked from her payday.

I’ve only ever watched one season of the block and it wasn’t this one so have no idea who she is or what she’s done outside of the show but if she was told many times about what was in her contract and still did what she wasn’t supposed to then she doesn’t deserve the money.

Rules are rules and she broke them as heartbreaking as it is to give 3 months of your life and get nothing from it. I think she has some serious issues that need to be addressed

I must admit I don’t watch The Block, but I have read quite a lot about Suzi and her exploits. It appears that she’s motivated by fame.

I believe you as a participant are not allowed to make the results public until they are released officially. I am sure that would be a clause in the contract. Possibly there were rules regarding what they wore too.

i was never a fan of Suzi i thought she was inappropriate at times on the show. but she knew what she signed up for when signing her contract and if everyone else can stick to the rules there is no reason for her not to.

I don’t know anything about her, but if she signed a contract and then breached the terms, she shouldn’t be surprised.

I’ve never been such a fan of Suzi! 😉 I didn’t really understand how she broke the contract. By talking to the media about what? The results of auction?
I don’t know what to think. When you sign a contract you have to obey to it. But I surely think it would be a pity for her if she couldn’t get the money.
But just her part is under threat, right? Not the one of Vonnie? Because Vonnie worked really hard for “The Block”. Suzi… well.. I am not that sure!! 🙂

Give her the bloody money greedy channel 9. She worked hard for it and deserves it. I am sure channel 9 have made a bundle of money for having her on the show. It’s Christmas – be kind & forgiving. Probably a publicity stunt anyway ……
