Police have launched a public appeal for assistance to locate a 23-year-old woman and her 18-month-old son who were last seen in Townsville yesterday morning.

Dinah Phineasa was last seen at 11 am with her son at an address in Aitkenvale.

Dinah is described as being of Torres Strait Islander appearance, slim build, 172cm tall, with light brown hair and green eyes.

Dinah’s young son is described as having brown hair and brown eyes and also of Torres Strait Islander appearance.

Police hold concerns for Dinah and her child and urge her, or anyone who knows her whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.

    It must be terribly distressing for family members when their loved ones go missing.
    I can not even begin to imagine how terrifying it must be!

  • I hope if anybody knows thewir whereabouts that they don’t delay contacting the Police. The sooner they are located the better their chances are.
