Police have put out a public appeal seeking assistance with helping to locate a pregnant woman reported missing from Wynnum in Brisbane.

20-year-old Shanaye Tyson, was last seen at around 11.00pm last night in the Brisbane city area.  It is believed that Shanaye may have been in the company of another woman at the time.

Concerns are held for her welfare as she is heavily pregnant and suffering from a medical condition.

Police described Shanaye as approximately 165cm tall with a solid build and long partly shaven black hair.  She is of Aboriginal background.

Shanaye was last seen wearing dark blue Adidas shorts, a blue/grey jumper and thongs.

Anyone who sees Ms Tyson or has any information about her whereabouts is urged to contact Triple Zero immediately.
