Pregnancy: Kim Kardashian tells it how it really is

Kim Kardashian West, is due to deliver her second child in a few short weeks and has opened up about the struggles she faces.

“Some people find it blissful, they feel sexy, they feel alive. I feel completely the opposite!”

That doesn’t mean she is not grateful for the experience. “Getting pregnant the second time was so hard for me,” Kardashian, 35, tells PEOPLE.

“I totally respect the struggle people have to go through. But that doesn’t mean I have to lie and say that it’s blissful. I find it to be a miserable experience,” she says.

[My sister] Kourtney said she loved it and it was the best feeling and I don’t love one moment of it. And that’s okay! It’s one billion percent worth it.”

Good on her for being honest. I must admit, I felt exactly the same way. And I think it is more than OK that we share the real, true stories of pregnancy. It’s not always sunshine and rainbows. It can be hard. More than hard, for some women.

I would definitely have more than two children if I didn’t find pregnancy such a struggle.

Glad to hear someone saying how it really can feel like for some, I know I hated being pregnant with my first three but now I’m onto number 4 and am enjoying it (for now anyways, in the first 3 months it wasn’t great). Everybody is different and should be able to express exactly how they feel without any judgement by others.

Nearly everyone I know has had (or claimed to have had) a ‘blissful’ pregnancy. Mine was horrid and I thought I was going to die (and nearly did) but I cannot wait to do it all again. The end result is worth it for sure!

It is refreshing to see her being so honest. Pregnancy wasn’t too bad for me, but I still didn’t enjoy it at all.

Good on her for being honest!! I live kids and have four of my own but after the first pregnancy the rest were just hard. I would have ten kids if I could just fast forward through the 40 weeks ( 42 in my case) because being pregnant and having a young child you wants your undevoted attention makes it very hard. But Kim’s right, the struggle is definetly worth it.

I’m pregnant now (8 weeks) and feel horrible and horrendous! I’m so sick with all day sickness that I’ve even lost weight! I would never do this again…I’m glad she is being honest, it’s such a horrible feeling I just want it to be over!

I loved being pregnant, couldn’t get enough of it, the morning sickness was a drag tho. I think Kim Kardashians problem is she’s so self absorbed in herself, she can only see me me me

Sorry! I’m one of those that loved being pregnant! At times I felt bad for saying I enjoyed being pregnant! Yes I had terrible heart burn & a sore back at times but I eased the heart burn & back ache when required. To me it was no pain no gain sort of attitude. Was it because we had to go through IVF that made me ‘put up with’ certain pains, maybe. Everyone’s pregnancy is ‘how it really is’! Not just Kim’s!
