We had a lot of apples to use up in the week leading up to Christmas. So I made this delicious sweet dish from puff pastry and apples.
Ingredients (serves 8 | makes 24 Apple pastrys)
- Puff Pastry 3 sheets
- Butter 2 tablespoons
- Cinnamon 2 teaspoons
- Brown sugar 2 tablespoons
- Apples 8
Method
- I honestly just made it up as i go! Start by peeling your apples and chopping your apples up into little cubes. It doesn't need to be a certain size. Maybe half a cm.
- In a bowl mix together 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and a few shakes of cinnamon powder.
- Lay out the sheets of pastry, brush on some melted butter, spread some apple out and sprinkle some of the brown sugar / cinnamon mix.
- Now it's time to roll the pastries up and cut into about 8 pieces. Keep going until you have used up your ingredients. Make as many or as little as you like.
- Bake in oven until golden and crisp.
