A healthy alternative to processed flour desserts, perfect for gluten sensitivities and hungry little tummies!
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 1 Cup Arborio rice
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 cups milk
- 50g Butter
- 1/3 cup caster sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 mashed banana
- 2 tsp Honey
Method
- boil water, salt, and butter in a medium saucepan. Add the rice, return to a boil, and then reduce the heat to the lowest setting. cook until rice has absorbed the water
- Bring milk, sugar, vanilla,cinnamon to a simmer in a separate saucepan. Add the cooked rice and cook at a simmer over medium-low heat until rice absorbs most of the milk and mixture starts to get thick and silky, about 10 to 15 minutes
- Mash banana and stir into cooling rice, add honey and remaining cinnamon, can be served hot or cold
Notes
The longer you rest the rice the thicker it becomes
