If you’re looking for the Best Calamari Recipe ever, Squiddly Diddly will impress any guest who loves flavour packed seafood!

If you’re not in the mood for a Calamari Recipe, you can switch it out for any protein and keep the combination of flavours. Try it with prawns or beef strips!

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 6 Squid Tubes (Large)
  • 1Tablespoon Garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Chili
  • 2 Tablespoons Oil

Method

  1. Wash and slice the squid in to small tubes. You can score or leave as is.
  2. Combine sliced squid with garlic, ginger and chili. Drizzle oil over the top and coat well. If you have time, allow mixture to marinate in the refrigerator, the longer the better.
  3. Heat wok or frypan and then add squid, quickly tossing and turning it so that it’s evenly cooked, this only takes a couple of minutes.
  4. Quickly remove from heat and serve. Add salt and pepper to taste.
