Wow wow and oh so yummy – low sugar, high protein and delicious. Try this awesome snack that you and your kids will love. Eat straight from the fridge before these delicious chocolate cups melt!

Ingredients (makes 6 )

  • 2/3 cups Melted coconut oil
  • 2 1/2 tbs Raw cacao powder
  • 1/4 tsp Sea salt
  • 4 tbs Hazelnut & cacao spread (eg Mayvers brand)
  • 2 1/2 tsp Coconut cream

Method

  1. Whisk coconut oil and cream with the sea salt and cacao powder until smooth
  2. Pour around 1tbs of the chocolate mixture into cupcake patty pans in muffin moulds until all sides are covered
  3. Place into fridge for 10 minutes until firm
  4. When firm remove from fridge and spoon 1tsp of nut butter into center of muffin mould
  5. Pour over coconut oil mixture until covered and place into refrigerator
  6. Leave in fridge for at least 30 minutes before indulging

Notes

Variation: Replace the nut butter with fruit- e.g. raspberries or banana for a fructose option.

  • I’m not sure if the Hazelnut and cacao spread is dairy free or not. I shall have to read the ingredients and allergans on the container.

  • They sound so easy to make and who doesn’t love chocolate. Not sure I can get most of the ingredients though

  • Nice ingredients. Personally I would prefer to use raw cacao butter instead of coconut oil, otherwise it loses it’s firmness as soon it’s out of the fridge. And one thing I do prefer is chocolate on room temperature, it doesn’t taste as good when straight from the fridge.
