Versatile mushroom sauce. Great on pasta, steak and toast
- 1/4 cup butter
- 500 gm sliced mushrooms
- 2 tbls plain flour
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- pinch salt and pepper
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Saute mushrooms until tender.
- Stir in flour, milk and soy sauce. Cook, stirring, until thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
