A kid friendly, low refined sugar snack these are a brilliant lunch box treat or mum treat with a cuppa!


Ingredients (makes 20 Balls)

  • 1 1/2 cups Pitted dates
  • 1/4 cup Sunflower seeds
  • 3 tbsp Chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp Dark cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp Nut butter of choice
  • 1 tspn Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Dessicated coconut
  • 2 tbsp Dark chocolate chips

Method

  1. Add all ingredients except dessicated coconut and choc chips into blender and blend until crumbly
  2. Add choc chips and pulse so they remain somewhat chunky
  3. Roll into bite sized balls
  4. Roll balls into a bowl of dessicated coconut to coat
  5. Refrigerate for 30 mins to set.

Notes

Add a tablespoon of water or milk of choice to help binding if required.
