This is a great recipe for toddlers in summer. My 2-year old loves the bright colour of the smoothie and the taste, and especially likes to drink it with a straw!

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 1 Frozen banana
  • 250mls Low fat milk
  • 125mls Low fat strawberry yoghurt
  • 1 teaspoon Honey

Method

  1. Peel banana and chop into 2 cm pieces
  2. Place banana, honey, milk and yoghurt in a blender, or use a hand-held stick blender, to mix until smooth.
  3. Serve and enjoy

Notes... I keep two or three bananas in the freezer ready to use for this recipe and the frozen banana can be substituted with1 cup of frozen strawberries. When freezing bananas, freeze with their skin on to stop the flesh from going brown.

  • We make similar to this. My 3 year old loves it.
