They look like adorable little ice-creams, they taste absolutely phenomenal AND they can be used at a gender reveal party for a delicious surprise. What’s not to love about these Gender Reveal Chocolate-Covered Strawberries?!

There’s really not much to making these morsels, but a little bit of time and know-how so you can get the layer of colour for the gender reveal sorted.

You’re going to need some nice, large strawberries – and after you wash them let them dry off before attempting to do the chocolate dipping.

This gorgeous idea is from TikTok wonder _dippedbyd, who makes the most AMAZING choc-dipped strawberries you have ever seen! They are a work of art.

Ingredients

  • Large, fresh strawberries (as many as you'd like to make!)
  • White chocolate melts
  • Food colouring in the gender reveal colour, and in brown or caramel
  • Sprinkles
  • Toothpicks
  • Plastic sandwich bags
  • Baking paper

Method

  1. Wash and dry the strawberries, and it also helps if you let them get to room temperature. Put a toothpick in through the hull at the top of each strawberry.
  2. Line a baking sheet or chopping board with baking paper.
  3. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave in short bursts, stirring in between. Separate it into two different bowls once melted.
  4. Colour one bowl of melted white chocolate in either blue or pink, depending on the baby! And the other bowl can be coloured a light brown colour, to look like ice-cream cone.
  5. Dip each strawberry in the blue or pink chocolate and put them on the baking paper to harden.
  6. Now use the second bowl of coloured chocolate to completely cover the strawberries again - this time making sure there is none of the first colour peeking through!
  7. Let the chocolate harden again, and then decorate with a drizzle of the light brown chocolate, by popping it into the sandwich bags and snipping the end.
  8. Melt a little more white chocolate and put it in another sandwich bag and pipe that around the top of the strawberry to look like melted ice-cream, then decorate with sprinkles.

  • Well, this is a unique recipe for gender reveal. Now I will have to gather the ingredients however, if anyone knows a site like EMUCoupon which can provide these items at a discount then please let me know.

  • Strawberries are nice just on their own. I’m not really a ‘gender reveal ‘ fan.

  • I love strawberries, especially if they’ve been dipped in chocolate but what I don’t like are gender reveal parties. The money spent on these could be used to put towards the raising of the child instead.

  • I love fresh strawberries. Looks likes a lot of work for double dipped strawberries.
