Quick and tasty biscuits!

Ingredients (makes 25 biscuits)

  • 150grams butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Golden Syrup
  • 1 teaspoon bi-carb soda
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 3/4 cups Plain flour

Method

  1. Place butter, sugar and Golden Syrup in a medium or large saucepan. Heat slowly, stirring constantly until all melted together. Simmer for a few minutes then remove from heat and allow to cool.
  2. Dissolve bi-carb soda into milk and add to saucepan mixture, then add sifted flour. Mix well.
  3. Roll teaspoon size balls with the mixture. Place onto a lined baking tray and press down with a fork.
  4. Bake at 180C until just turning golden, or a little longer if you like them crunchier.

  • My biscuit recipe is very similar and the biscuits are to die for. So light and yet crunchy – everyone loves them. Thanks for your recipe for me to use as a change.
