Don’t buy the sugar laden commercial versions of this drink. Make your own and know the ingredients in it!

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup milk of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey or rice malt syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

  1. Blend everything in a blender until smooth.

Notes

Adjust the recipe to taste. Less sugar if too sweet, more peanut butter to make it creamier etc.

  • Such a great recipe. The kids loved it especially with the peanut butter. Thanks for sharing.

  • I must admit that I love Up & Go, so will definitely try your variation!

  • We never buy Up & Go’s as I don’t think they’re very healthy. This recipe is a bit healthier. I would reduce the the honey/rice malt as 1 tbsp pp is a bit much and would probably add a fiber source like oats
