Great little snack for adults or your kids! Tastes like cookie dough, but loaded with protein and good ingredients.

Ingredients (makes 25 Protein Balls)

  • 1 1/2 cup Oats
  • 1 1/2 cup Shredded Coconut
  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Chia Seeds
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Method

  1. In blender blend oats and coconut to a more fine but still coarse texture .
  2. Add all ingredients into bowl. Mix until all ingredients are all incorporated and evenly distributed. If the mixture is too dry, add more peanut butter and/or honey.
  3. Roll into a ball the size of your preference. Place on parchment lined cookie sheet. Place in freezer for two hours. Remove and place into an air tight container.
  4. Store in fridge for 1-2 weeks. Freezer for 3 months.

  • Great idea for a quick snack with lots of flavour and they look super easy to make. I hope they’re not too morish though or I’ll be overdoing it again.

  • I love chia seeds, I just hate that they get stuck in my teeth all the time lol.
But will definitely try this (minus the coconut) as it sounds delish!

  • These would be great for a day out, easy to pack in a small lunch box and will keep you full and energized. I’ll have to give them a go. A change from the homemade muesli bars.
