A quick and easy side dish that pairs well with a steak
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 6 medium Potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
- 1/2 cup Cream
- 1x 400 gram tin Artichoke hearts , sliced
- 1/4 cup Cheese , grated
- 2 tablespoons Bread crumbs
Method
- Place potatoes in a bowl , sprinkle liberally with salt and pepper and toss together
- Arrange one layer of potatoes in the base of a greased oven dish
- Top with a layer of artichokes .. repeat with potatoes and artichoke ending with a potato layer
- Pour over the cream and sprinkle with the cheese and crumbs
- Cover with alfoil and bake in moderate oven for 45 minutes or until potatoes are cooked. In cover and cook for further 15 to brown the top
Notes
The artichokes add a yummy flavour to the potatoes. A variation on a typical potato bake
