These bliss balls are yum!

Ingredients (serves 10)

  • 1/2 cup Chia cacao bites
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup coconut
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 2 Tbsp sesame seeds
  • 3/4 cup medjool dates
  • 1/4 cup sultanas or craisins
  • 1/4 cup rice malt syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 1/4 cup raw cacao
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup (Optional)

  1. Place the sunflower seeds in food processor and blitz on high for 1 minute. Add the rest of the dry ingredients, dates/fruit and blitz for a further minute.
  2. Add vanilla, rice malt and maple and process until it comes together. Approx 30 seconds. (if your mix is too dry try adding a tbsp of coconut oil)
  3. Wet hands and roll into balls. Toss in coconut and refrigerate.

If you substitute coconut oil for the rice malt ensure the balls are eaten straight from the fridge.

  • Thanks for the great recipe. Can’t wait to try it.

  • Lots of ingredients, but I guess they last, can you freeze the balls?

  • Mmmmm yum! Sounds so delicious and healthy! Must give these a try :)

  • Mmm. Need something healthy after all the stuff we ate and drank over Christmas and New Year!

  • These look and sound very yummy indeed

  • With medjool dates, sultanas, rice malt syrup and maple syrup these are rather sweet and sugary. I prefer them less sweet.

  • While these look and sound nice to me, having to purchase all of these new ingredients would make it expensive to me. I make other versions of these, truffles, choc balls, etc.

  • I’m going to have to google the chia bites I have never seen those ones but they sound nice and look nice.

  • I’ve never heard of chia cacao bites, can I get these from Coles or woolies? These sound great!!

  • These look very healthy indeed. Thanks.

  • I’d love to make these – the ingredients are mostly new to me, but am constantly looking to improve my health

  • I’ve just pinned this recipe. Instagram in so handy!

  • They are nice and easy to make.

  • They do look and sound yum. I don’t have many of these ingredients readily on hand though, I’d need to build up to it.

  • Sounds great and healthy too.
