A very quick easy tasty salad to have with anything… Cheap and very easy to make


Ingredients (serves 6 | makes 6 )

  • Half A wombok it's a Chinese cabbage finly shredded
  • 1 med Carrot. Grated
  • 2 sticks Celery finely chopped
  • 2 Pink lady apples peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons White vingar
  • 6 Spring /green onions thinly sliced on the diagonal
  • 1/2 cup Roughy chopped parley
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup Whole egg mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vingar
  • Pinch Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Place cabbage ,carrot ,celery,apple,and vinegar in a large bowl mix well.
  2. Add the spring onions and parsley ,sprinkle over sesame seeds
  3. Chill in fridge covered until ready to serve.
  4. Now in a jar add whole egg mayonnaise 1/4 cup of melted honey Apple cider vinegar place lid on jar make sure sealed now shake the jar for three min or until really well mixed
  5. Pour dressing over salad and mix really well rue hill until ready to serve. Add salt and pepper to taste just before serving

Notes

I keep this without the dressing mixed through in my fridge in a air tight container up to three days .. It's beautiful serve with fish or steak chicken .. I have cooked chicken and slice it up and served it through this salad also. ... I love meals that are healthy and easy. , you can do with cabbage but the Chinese cabbage the wombok gives it a softer flavour .. More likening to children's taste. ...
