A simple sultana log & a great way to get children to,eat sultanas. My nanna taught me this recipe.
Ingredients (makes 2 Logs)
- 1 cup Sultanas
- 1 cup Boiling water
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 1 Egg beaten
- 2 cups Self raising flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla essence
Method
- Preheat oven to 160 degrees celcius.
- Put sultanas, boiling water, sugar, butter and vanilla essence into a bowl and let it cool. Then add the beaten egg and self raising flour, mix well. Place in two greased log tins.
- Bake in oven for approximately 40 minutes.
Notes
This recipe freezes well.
