Are you pregnant this summer? Or maybe just trying to cut back on the booze?

Then this refreshing mocktail is for you!

Ingredients (serves 1 | makes 1 )

  • Pear juice
  • Soda water
  • Fresh lime

  1. Add a splash of pear juice to a glass
  2. Top with soda water
  3. Squeeze at least half a lime into the glass. Top with ice and stir!

The pear juice also has the added benefit of helping with that nasty pregnancy side effect constipation and is less sweet than usual mocktails so you can enjoy it all evening long

  • Yep pear juice will make you go to the toilet a lot more. I would suggest adding some green leafy veg to slow it down a bit.

  • Love the idea, but I would make sure the pear juice is a splash only.
Last time I was in hospital I was prescribed pear juice to counteract the pain pills I had been given that cause constipation. 1/2 glass was my limit or I sat on the loo all day.
