  • Great Nappies at Affordable price

    We have loved these Nappies!
So affordable and Great quality for price, Soft on my toddlers skin and very impressed they did leak over night as we have a deep sleeper so usually has quite a heavy Nappy in the morning.

We will be continuing to buy these BabyBoo Nappies now.
    Will also be reccomending them!

  • Great price and great quality!

Baby Boo Nappies are amazing. For a cheaper prices nappy I am very satisfied. I can sleep good through the night knowing that my babies are comfortable with no leaks through the night and extra long tabs for longer security. Easy to tell which is front/back. They are nice and soft. They are on par with the cheaper branded nappies and coles and Woolies but I’ve always had issues with little ones or cub. Baby Boo Nappies are GREAT. They don’t give my babies any rashes or irritations. One happy mumma! 5 stars ????

  • Affordable new nappy brand

Very impressed with the new Baby Boo nappies, definitely found a new nappy brand!
Baby Boo is super affordable! ($11.50 for a pack of 50 size 4 nappies.)
They are super absorbent and have a wetness indicator to help you know when the nappy is getting too full.
Soft on babies skin, hasn’t left any marks and sits really well, haven’t had any reactions.
We also love the little panda showing which side is front and which side is back, super cute! Will definitely be buying this brand again!

  • Great Fit and No Leaks!

It was really great to try these nappies as I didn’t realise IGA sold this range of nappies and wipes at such a great price!
My little girl is non stop and will often get leaks just because she’s always climbing and wriggling around. BabyBoo nappies have been amazing for my little one. They fit really well but are a tiny bit smaller than the other size 4 nappies that we usually use. We have had no leaks after a week of trying these nappies. They are soft and comfortable, with no complaints and they have been great overnight as well! I will definitely be buying these nappies in future. They fit much better and seem to feel lighter but hold more liquid than our usual nappy brand.

  • Excellent nappies at local grocer

IGA have created a nappy of exceptional quality for Aussie families that keep bub happy and dry and won’t break the bank.

While trialling BabyBoo nappies bub started mix feeding, increased his solid foods and had a cold. BabyBoo took it all on and didn’t leak or have a blow out. The nappies stayed in position and looked comfortable on our 9 month old as he was crawling around the house. It’s clear in how they perform that a lot of thought and consideration went into the design of BabyBoo nappies.

BabyBoo are an excellent choice for a happy dry baby, and a happy parent knowing they haven’t compromised on quality to save some money at the checkout. IGA have made it an easy decision to shop local. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again and recommend them to others.
Thank you to Mouths of Mums for the opportunity to try them out.

  • My new go to nappies

I have been through a lot of different brands of nappies and one major problem I find is that a lot of brands out there leak however baby boo stayed dry from 7pm to 7am
The material is soft and absorbent and for the price point honestly I’d rather buy these from now on they do everything the bigger brands do with out the expensive price tag

  • My go to nappies

These are amazing! I trialed the size 3 nappies. They are an amazing price. My son wore the nappy for 13 hours overnight, no leaks, no red marks, no irritation on his skin, also the nappy didn’t feel damp from the outside. They are better than the big name brands. I will only be using these from now on.

I was really impressed by these babyboo nappies. They fit really well and there were no leaks throughout the night. They fit sizing was accurate and the tabs stayed secure with a very active wriggly baby. I would definitely buy these nappies again. Highly recommended to all mums out there!

  • Soft, comfortable, no complaints

The nappies were soft and comfortable. My toddler had no reaction to wearing them, and as a bit of a natural buff I love that they’re friendlier for little bottoms. We didnt quite last all night with them, but thats because she has a few bottles and the output is therefore a lot! There was no leakages and I only changed the soggy nappy as didn’t want to take the risk. I would rate them as highly as Huggies

  • Babyboo nappies

Tried these with my son, and I loved the thickness and design but sadly for us they were not the best to prevent leaking. At least every 3rd nappy he leaked through. The design though was great and way they fit was the best part of it all, they just need to be abit for leakproof.

  • Only worth it if desperate

I was thrilled to discover these nappies initially, and I felt fortunate to have found them at my local IGA. However, as I began using them, I encountered a minor setback with a faulty tab, which forced me to carefully remove the nappy to try again, ultimately salvaging the situation. I thought it was an isolated incident, but I soon found eight nappies in the pack with the same issue. Upon returning to the IGA, I noticed they were clearing out the stock, leaving me to wonder if others had faced similar challenges.

  • I was pleased to find BabyBoo Nappies at my local IGA, as having affordable nappies nearby was a convenient advantage. However, I encountered an issue with several of them, where the tag was positioned inside the nappy, requiring me to tear the nappy to retrieve it, thereby wasting a nappy. I attempted to purchase again, hoping that the initial batch was defective, but unfortunately, they are now being cleared from inventory. I am wondering if other parents have experienced the same problem

These nappies are a great value and the quality is perfect. They absorb really well and had no issues with leakage. They were soft and our baby did not seem to mind it at all. I would recommend them as a great alternative to most expensive brands. They are as good if not better.

Have tried both the nappies and nappy pants now and have loved both. The feel and quality is great. No leaks overnight is a huge plus and no rashes. Great fit No marks on my toddlers legs. • Super reliable and easy to use.

I bought these nappies in size 4 and was very surprised by the low price. The quality of these nappies did not disappoint and even exceeded my expectations. These nappies are so much better than many of the “own” supermarket brands and even many expensive brands. They are comfortable, reliable, and very easy to use. I love the wetness indicator feature as well, makes life so much easier. They are free from most nasty chemicals, which is also extremely important for us. Overall a great product. I highly recommend it and will be happy to buy it again.

  • Could be thicker padding but ok!

Tried the size 5 for my son and for the price they are ok. Reason being is I did notice they get very full overnight so by the time he is up 9-10 hours later they are super heavy and have leaked on occasion. I will be trying size 2/or 3 for my baby and see how that goes.

  • You’ll be happy too using babyboo

I wasn’t expecting to be too woo’d by the Babyboo nappies at the price of $11.50. However after trialing these on my 16 month old I am pleasantly surprised. They felt like beautiful quality, soft and a nice thickness. They didn’t quite hold up overnight without leaks however I expect this is due to the cold weather making my little one pee more. Definitely worth a try for those on a budget and looking for something thats also safe for baby.

How to choose the best lunch box for school

When you’re searching for a kids’ lunch box, take the time to work out what will best suit their needs. If you make the right choice and invest in a quality one, it will last many years.

  • Box, bento or bag? If your child doesn’t like different foods touching, a bento lunch box is a great choice. Also, think about whether they prefer cut-up or whole fruit; a bento is better suited to cut food, while bags and boxes suit whole fruit. Bags are fantastic if you like to pack separate containers, like smaller bento or snack containers.
  • Freshness is a must – An insulated bag or box will keep everything cool and fresh until snack and lunchtime. But you can also get boxes that come with cold and ice packs. Remember, kids’ lunches often sit at room temperature for up to 5 or 6 hours before they’re eaten, so insulation and coolness are important. Check out how to keep school lunches safe in the heat.
  • Easy-to-clean design – Check if the box is dishwasher-safe, or for lunch bags, if they’re machine-washable.
  • Leak-proof – The last thing you want is a soggy mess at lunchtime, so if buying a hard lunch box, look for designs that are leak-proof with proper seals.
  • Child-friendly – Depending on your child’s motor skills and independence, you may need to start with a product that’s simple to open and close.
  • The right size – We tend to pack way too much in our kids’ lunches, so think about how much realistically you’ll need to pack for your child when choosing the size of their lunch box. You may also need to consider the size of their school bags.

What to put in kids’ lunch boxes

Health professionals agree that kids need a good balance of lean protein, grains, fruit and vegetables throughout the school day. Skip the processed food and try to reach for whole foods that pack a punch in the nutrient department. Here are some great ideas:

  • Grilled chicken or turkey wraps with fresh salad
  • Crackers and vegetable sticks with healthy dips like hummus
  • Whole-grain pasta with cherry tomatoes and your choice of cheese
  • Zucchini slice cut into rectangles for easy stacking in an insulated box
  • Almond-meal slice with raspberries or blueberries – or both!
  • Vegetarian sausage rolls – these freeze well and make a great meat-free lunch when cold.

  • That lunchbox comparison table is handy to have. It helped me make a decision on which lunchbox to buy next for my daughter who is starting kindergarten. I needed to upgrade her lunchbox but wasn’t sure which way to go. The table helped me with my decision. I ended up going with the BBOX and have found a cheaper lunch bag from a department store that it fits in.

  • I do not know if anyone else has picked up on this or not, but every bag mentioned in the table above is a ‘designer’ brand. There are plenty of more affordable options that aren’t over $40. I have never spent that much on a lunchbox – even from Smiggle. The cheaper brands last just as well too.

  • Getting ready for the return to school has started to kick in so this was a timely read. We have the yum box and i love it, it is so easy for my daughter to open and close on her own. I find the lunch cooler bags also a great idea however some days depending on what else needs to go to school, they can be quite bulky to include in the school bag. I need to do some more research this year as i like the idea of being able to watch it in the washing machine, that is a clever idea.

  • Along with all of the other back to school products; there is also a good range of lunch boxes available for people to buy. It has been fun to see the wide range of bottles and lunch boxes that are available for the new year for school and for work.

  • Lunch boxes have come such a long way since my eldest was a kid, he’s now 26! There’s really a solution to everything from food heating, cooling, dividers, pockets etc etc. Lunch boxes are a real fashion accessory and so on-trend these days. I personally love the Bento lunch boxes. They save on plastic and separate different foods.

  • I am such a huge fan of Bento lunch boxes and Bento. Food should be so many wonderful things; including delicious, fun, colourful and nutritious too. Lunch is a favourite meal because the body is ready for some more calories and a boost of energy. Food looks so good in Bento lunch boxes.

  • So so many fantastic options! We use the montii co ones for our kdis and swear by it. Its lasted 3 years so far and still standing strong, like new since the first day using it. They are so durable and i find cleaning them to be the easiest for us.

  • There are so many great lunch box option out there indeed ! I’ve always liked the Bento style lunch boxes for my kids. It reduces the use of plastic lunch bags and packaged food which aren’t very good for the environment and it encourages to present a good variety of foods (which is not only better nutrition wise but lao to prevent our kids from getting bored with same foods all the time.

  • There are some really fabulous options here. So many variations of colour, shape and size. I love the bento style lunch boxes, so handy to keep food separate and eliminate the use of plastic packaging. The machine washable bags are a great idea too. They can get grubby so fast, this would be so much easier to maintain

  • This has gotten much easier since my kids hit high school – they have strong opinions about their lunch boxes, so I don’t have to think about it so much anymore! However, I am strongly in favor of bento style boxes regardless of their age. They’re easy to clean, easy to pack, and invite appropriate sized portions.

  • Great article! Our kids are so lucky, when it comes to lunchboxes, they really are spoilt for choice. There are so many to pick from. Regarding sandwiches, my eldest son, used to hate sandwiches for school lunches. It wasn’t until many years later that I discovered that he’d throw out his sandwiches in the playground bins. My son’s an adult now and he still hates sandwiches. He only likes “hot” lunches. So glad he lives on his own now and can make his own “hot” lunches just the way he likes them.

  • This is super useful article and thank you. I can see so variety of lunch boxes from every store. Always wonder which one would be more convenient to use by little hands. I love some of these lunchboxes to give it a try for this year. And then decide to go with suitable ones

  • Wow, lunch boxes have really come such a long way from when I was taking a lunch box to school. Feel old, like “back in my day”, but we were lucky to have options like are available now. While I like some of these designs, I feel like they aren’t super practical.

  • These lunchboxes are beautiful but are they really worth the expensive price tag? I have been through so many lunch boxes and bags over the years and found the best it to use an insulated lunchbox bag with ice brick and use small containers to keep individual items fresh and assessable.

  • I love the bbox lunch boxes. They are so reliable and tough when kids throw their bags around. Easy to wash and store. I have used the we can be tiny snackies at home too. The boys love choosing a certain animal shape. They wash well, are durable and great quality.

  • My kids are old enough now to pack their own lunches and I am so happy to see the great choices they are making. They take left over meals, cook food in the morning to take and now I am confident they aren’t throwing away sandwiches! I do have the chilly bags for them, I find they fit better into bags

  • Love our bento b.boxes. So easy to pack. I do however worry that they’re made of plastic, not metal….

  • My daughter uses a bento box now for work and sometimes an insulated bag in summer, but when she was at school it was a rectangular lunch box with no compartments. It was very easy to wash each day, just the box and lid, and it could still be filled with rolls/sandwiches and snacks.

  • Lunchboxes are so important these days. Back in my day it was a brown paper bag or the exact same lunch box that everyone else had and there were three compartments. Today its such a fashion statement and as much as the lunchbox itself is judged so are the contents.
