  • I Actually like this after looking at the details on this page

I Actually like this after looking at the details on this page, the Club Med Sun Resort in Cancun, The resort is located on a beautiful beach, with clear water and soft sand. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any request. The food was delicious, with a variety of options for every taste. The activities were fun and diverse, from water sports to yoga to salsa dancing. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the ocean. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

  • Club Med Bintan Island

This was our first Club Med stay and hopefully not our last! What a magnificent holiday. Everything was thought of and catered to. The food and beverages were 5 star. The kids loved kids club and we got to relax and enjoy the holiday as adults. Absolutely recommend this Island Paradise!

  • Luxury exploding

Club Med sun resort is so luxurious yet you feel at home with the family. Centrally located it’s easy to visit surrounding tourist spots, shopping malls and places to eat. Or you can just stay in and lounge around. Affordable for many with a bit of saving and planning. Thouroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend

  • Family time

My time at Club Med with my family was fantastic. I also took my 85 inlaws and they loved it. Something new happens everyday. The food the blu waters the scenery. Fantastic.

  • Night shift nurse

I never see the day light nowadays. I’m a sleep technician. I’m pale tired and in need of a resort holiday. Xxx

  • Diving with distinction

I’ve been impressed by many things at Club Med Kani and the Euro Dive team are up there with the best. They have a refreshingly rigorous approach to safety – and one that doesn’t (in anyway) compromise the quality of the diving, if anything it enhances it. I’m a fair-weather diver so having the mini “complimentary” refresher dive was a really good way for me to get my confidence back and for them to assess my ability and diving experience. I then went out for two dives the next morning and both dives were outstanding – not only in the diversity of what we saw (turtles, sharks, stingrays, lion fish, scorpion fish, moray eels, lobsters, travelis, tuna and much more) but the differences between the two dive sites and the professionalism of the dive team and boat crew were outstanding too. It’s not cheap to dive here, but it is worth every penny and I’d do it all again in a heart beat.

  • The more involved you are, the more fun you have!

As a busy working mum, I’m not always someone who dives head first into every activity on offer when I’m on holiday – generally I like to just flop and drop. But all that’s changed since I’ve been here at Club Med Kani. It only took a couple of days for me, and the rest of the family to realise that the more you get involved in, the more fun you’ll have. So instead of sitting by the pool watching the aqua aerobics, I jumped in and joined in….and it was great! A lot more tiring than I expected so I felt I’d earned the cakes and biscuits that are offered for afternoon tea. In the evenings the GOs put on a show – for the first couple of nights we were asleep before it even started but by night 3, we made a commitment to go and we’ve absolutely loved it! There’s a different theme every night but the quality of the performances is excellent – there’s some real talent amongst the GO team. Yesterday the kids got involved in the pool games – basketball and kayak racing up and down the swimming pool. It was heaps of fun and was a great way to get to know some of the other guests. The whole team here go to a massive effort to make your holiday fun and they seem to have boundless energy from early in the morning to late at night. It definitely takes a special type of person to be a GO for Club Med.

  • Out on the water for some high energy fun!

There’s more than enough all inclusive activities to fill your days here at Club Med Kani but we thought we’d give the paid activities a try today. There’s all sorts on offer – jet ski tours, wakeboarding, surfing, local island excursions and lots more. We decided to try Parasailing and Fun Tubing – both high adrenalin activities off the back of a speed boat. We were really impressed with how well maintained all the equipment was – you never felt anything but totally safe and in good hands. The instructors were all good English speakers and looked after the kids really well. They made sure we had an exciting and adrenalin filled experience but not so much that the kids were frightened stiff! The activities aren’t cheap and there is still plenty of free stuff to do on the island but it’s definitely worth choosing one or two of these paid activities as an extra treat.

  • A Feast for the Eyes and the Stomach!

If you’ve ever wondered what the food is like at a Club Med Resort, we can tell you that here at Club Med Kani, the food is incredible. We thought that being on an island, a long way from anywhere, the food might be a bit ordinary but we were so wrong. Every night has a different food theme and last night was the Gala Dinner. It was like being in a hatted restaurant in Sydney. Fresh Tuna Sashimi, amazing seafood, herb crusted lamb racks with beautiful roasted vegetables and a dessert table to die for. We will be carrying an extra few kilos home for sure!

  • Never a Dull Moment

There’s plenty of opportunities to lie around on comfy sun loungers here at Club Med Kani but with so many activities on offer morning, noon and night, there’s hardly time to sit down! Yesterday was an awesome day for us and the kids. While the kids spent a couple of hours in the informal kids club, for 11-18 year olds, we squeezed in a Pilates class and a gorgeous ocean swim. The kids came back having had a great time kayaking and paddle boarding. They even learnt how to play badminton! After a lovely lunch, the kids took us out paddle boarding and the we finished the day with a beer or two and a game sunset beach volleyball with guests and staff. It was a fantastic day all round. The only problem is we’re so tired at the end of the day that we haven’t managed to make it to any of the evening entertainment yet!

  • Our Club Med Home

We’d like to share a few thoughts on our room here at Club Med Kani. For a start the location is perfect, 2 minutes walk from the centre of the village and right on the beach. The adjoining rooms work really well and are perfect for young families. All the facilities are very comfortable and there’s plenty of space to rest and relax. The balconies overlook sunset beach and we can hear the buzz of the sunset beach bar, or the excitement of the evening beach volleyball game. The only slight downside of our central location is that the pumping music from the white party did wakes us from our jet lag induced slumber. But other than that, perfect!

  • Warmly Welcomed!

First of all we\’d like to thank MoM for giving us the opportunity to review the beautiful Club Med Kani in the Maldives. We\’ve arrived on this dreamy island after a seamless journey from Sydney. We were glad to have an overnight in Singapore so we could enjoy a daytime flight to Male and a spectacular boat ride from the airport to the island. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the team of staff who already seem to know us by name and have been extremely friendly. The kids loved the lemonade iced tea they were handed the minute they stepped off the boat! Our room is perfect – amazing view of the beach and really well located close to the pool and beach bar. We’re getting our heads round the enormous amount of activities on offer and we’re busy making plans for tomorrow! Stay tuned for day 2!

  • Love Club Med! Tried 3 so far.

We love Club Med because it is easy to budget for. You know exactly how much you will spend. No extra hidden costs like tipping.
We had our honeymoon at Club Med Lindeman (now closed) and loved it so much we then went to Tahiti – Moorea and then Bintan (an island which is technically in Indonesia but closer to Singapore). Each Club Med has its own charm, lots of things to do (or not do if you just want to relax) and its a great way to meet people from lots of different countries – including Staff as well as Guests.
Also a great way to practice any language skills if you have any (not me).
I have recommended Club Med to most of my friends. Some with children and some without. All came back raving how much they loved it!

  • Fanstastic Golf

My husband continues to talk about his personal golf lesson he arranged one morning during our stay. After venturing out to enjoy 18 holes on the nearby spectacular golf course the day before, he returned frustrated at his seeming endless ability to “slice” his golf ball into the lush jungle that surrounds each hole. After talking to the team in the Club Med Golf clinc, he’d booked himself into a 1-hour lesson to try and improve his game. He has dropped 6 shots since that lesson, so If you are a golfer, then there are 4 magical courses to choose from, or if you are not too serious, join the more social twice weekly Ambrose tournament. The team know what they are talking about.

  • A fine luxury family experience

I was nicely surprised by this resort. The room was extremely confortable and family friendly. A home away from home and very clean. Lots of activities within the resort to please all family members. Close to nearby sightseeing spots so it was no major drama getting out and about. Not that you really want to withhold all they have on offer within the resort

  • A truly relaxing experience

Such a lovely experience. The room was so clean, very comfortable kind of like a luxury home away from home. There are lots of on site activities to suit all ages. It’s also well situated so if you want to head off for the day and check out the local sites, it’s a short drive to most. It cost a little more then we usually spend, but so absolutely worth it. A once in a lifetime experience we’ll remember forever

  • Return to Club Med Bintan

Our family of 5 have recently returned from our second visit to Club Med Bintan Island, (and our third Club Med experience overall).

From the moment we were welcomed into the resort, we knew we made the right decision to come back to Club Med Bintin. We timed our arrival perfectly, we the kids straight into the pool to join the lunchtime pool activity.

It wasn’t long before the kids found their bearings again, and were off exploring the all inclusive sport options available. The girls headed towards the ocean for some snorkelling, one boy went off for tennis and archery, whilst my oldest son when off sail with his Dad. I found a deck chair by the pool and grabbed my book for some relaxation.

Before you knew it, 5pm came round!!!! Massive dilemma! – Cocktails at the beach bar or football (soccer) on the grass between the beach and the pool. Cocktails seem to be the favourite of the Ladies, accompanied by some pre dinner snacks that appeared every afternoon. The Dads, kids and Guest Officer’s enjoyed a not too serious game of football, enhanced by not having many rules.

A beautiful buffet dinner followed with a wide selection of foods from around the globe. Dinner conversation was around what show would be on after dinner, what activities we would be signing up for the next day, and whether we would dine at the Indonesian Restaurant the next day, or continue to enjoy the buffet food.

Best of all, we were revelling in the knowledge that we had 7 more days of this ahead, where you do as much or as little as you like!

    Highly recommended!!

I fondly remember slow, summer afternoons with family and friends gathered around a table of delicious finger-food during my childhood – the adults chatting and laughing, the kids pretending they understood the jokes. My parents had continued their Mediterranean traditions long after settling in Australia – and the simple joy of an effortlessly elegant gathering was one of my favourites.

What I don’t remember is my parents ever being stressed about the gatherings. It all just seemed to ‘come together’. Ah, how times have changed!

There’s something about the Italian style of entertaining that’s still so alluring in our fast-paced family lives. The idea of La Dolce Vita: a sweet life surrounded by family, friends, food and minimal fuss. Which is why we’ve enlisted the help of the entertaining experts at Sandhurst to share easy tips for elegant, memorable summer get-togethers.

We also asked our community of mums to share their tried and true, easy summer entertaining ideas, and we can’t wait to share them with you!

Euro-Inspired Entertaining

Sandhurst

Before we dive into the delicious world of sumptuous, simple summer entertaining, it helps to know a little about the inspiration behind our guide. And that’s the concept of Italian entertaining – where time is taken to lovingly grow ingredients, before enjoying them with those you love.

Established in 1988, Sandhurst was born from the time-honoured traditions of generations of the family behind the brand – a proud Italian Australian family passionate about quality produce sourced from world’s best growers.

At the helm of Sandhurst are brothers Mimmo and Ray Lubrano, who live and breathe the impeccable ingredients that become the centrepiece of so many gatherings in Australian family homes.

“Tradition is what we stand for. We’re custodians of Italian values,” explained Mimmo. “When we go to Italy we see it in our grandparents, our parents came from Italy in the 50s. The tradition is a set of values: honesty, teamwork, participation, family – all the things you would associate with Italian family are the values.”

And it’s these beautiful values that make summer gatherings in Australia an extension of the European table.

Easy Summer Entertaining Starts With … Time Saving Secrets!

Sandhurst

A sweet summer of entertaining doesn’t need to be stressful. In fact, it shouldn’t be. It’s a chance to spend time with loved ones. To press pause on life and make memories. And it can be simple! So here are some really easy tips for making your home the place where everyone wants to gather this summer.

Create An Entertaining Kit

Whether it’s pre-planned or you’ve had friends or family drop-in, having a few things ready to go immediately melts away any stress. Here are some things to include in a summer entertaining kit:

  • A red table cloth: It instantly says festive!
  • Some platters and serving dishes
  • Candles
  • Some quality antipasto ingredients that simply need to be decanted and enjoyed!

Many Hands Make Light Work

As mums, we tend to be our own worst enemy when it comes to delegating tasks. But remember, a summer of entertaining is about creating memories – not perfection. So let the kids help, and accept offers from your guests who’d like to bring something along to share.

“It can be overwhelming, so just delegate, and prepare. I do one dish prep per day and pop them in the freezer. Then they just need to be heated up. Let the kids do the decorating for you – plus keeps them busy!” – MoM Member Kirsty

Decorate With Happiness

There’s no need to pull out your finest crystal to pull off an elegant get together. Take a look around your home and garden to see what will bring your table to life. A bowl of lemons is a gorgeous addition, as is a bunch of gum leaves. Keep it simple and understated.

Finger Food For The Win

Nothing says simple summer elegance more than a charcuterie board (or three!). When my friends and our families get together, it’s our go-to – every family is asked to ‘bring a board’. Some do savoury and some sweet, so we’re covered for a long afternoon of catching up.

“Food wise, I keep it simple by doing cold deli meats, cheeses, fresh fruits and veggies.” – MoM Member

But just because boards are easy to put together, doesn’t mean they can’t ooze elegance. And that comes down to including quality ingredients. Choosing Sandhurst products is the easiest way to guarantee the highest quality ends up on your table. We love the premise behind the brand: from our family to yours – it invokes that nostalgic feeling of shared stories, history, gatherings and family.

How To Put Together A Charcuterie Board

Sandhurst article image

There are no right or wrong ways to create a charcuterie board, but to ensure a balance of textures and flavours try to include:

La Dolce Vita!

A summer of sophisticated entertaining doesn’t have to be hours and hours of work. We don’t want it to be! By grabbing some beautiful ingredients to fill your pantry next time you’re shopping, you’ll know that at a moment’s notice you’ll have everything you need for a Euro-inspired gathering. No fuss, but plenty of substance and style!

  • I have been buying Sandhurst Kalamata Olives, Sandhurst Semi-Dried Tomatoes, Sandhurst Baby Capers, Sandhurst Sicilian Green Olives for years as our kitchen staple adding that extra flavours to our dishes. I buy Sandhurst products for Gift Baskets as presents for family and friends and they love this idea as I add a chopping board and a knife and crackers and cheese for a celebration of flavours.

  • I have been a purchaser of Sandhurst goods ever since they first appeared on supermarket shelves and still buy it to this day. The Sandhurst brand is the best without a doubt. This year I have not been able to find the Sandhurst cheese stuffed baby capsicums anywhere. I have tried to get on the Sandhurst site, but no luck with what they make. Help – these are such a wonderful addition to a salad.

  • I Love a good charcuterie board. I Love all the different options all on the one board. I love to do a chocolate board when we have guests over, it’s a fun way to do dessert after dinner. The kids love seeing everything layed out so they can pick and choose.

  • This is great for the grandchildren they love them as they use them as finger food and make up their own meal and use plenty of ingredients including meat and cheese on the dips and crackers. We keep it simple with the Sandhurst’s products as it is a meal in every jar and the kids love them.

  • Charcuterie boards are the absolute best! We do these so often in the warmer months because there’s something for the whole family. People pick and choose what they like and there’s no complaints because there’s so many different options to choose from, everyone is happy. It’s such a simple stressful way to make dinner.

  • I absolutely adore finger food and this style of feeding people when we have family and friends at our home; or when we go out for a picnic, bbq or get together. These types of food are so easy to source and to buy and to prepare and to happily eat.

    • Yes I agree, finger foods are easy and yummie ! And you can assemble a healthy enough plate (certainly when you add salads, cheeses, nuts, fruits, boiled eggs, olives and rustic breads) that it can certainly can replace a meal (either lunch or dinner). Everyone happy and no hours of preparation in the kitchen :)

      • Also; the other bonus is less mess to clean up when cutlery is not needed. Finger food is the best for laid back and relaxed get togethers. There is always such a clam and relaxed feel to a finger food meal without the need for any fancy and stuffy table settings.
