  • I Actually like this after looking at the details on this page

I Actually like this after looking at the details on this page, the Club Med Sun Resort in Cancun, The resort is located on a beautiful beach, with clear water and soft sand. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any request. The food was delicious, with a variety of options for every taste. The activities were fun and diverse, from water sports to yoga to salsa dancing. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the ocean. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

  • Club Med Bintan Island

This was our first Club Med stay and hopefully not our last! What a magnificent holiday. Everything was thought of and catered to. The food and beverages were 5 star. The kids loved kids club and we got to relax and enjoy the holiday as adults. Absolutely recommend this Island Paradise!

  • Luxury exploding

Club Med sun resort is so luxurious yet you feel at home with the family. Centrally located it’s easy to visit surrounding tourist spots, shopping malls and places to eat. Or you can just stay in and lounge around. Affordable for many with a bit of saving and planning. Thouroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend

  • Family time

My time at Club Med with my family was fantastic. I also took my 85 inlaws and they loved it. Something new happens everyday. The food the blu waters the scenery. Fantastic.

  • Night shift nurse

I never see the day light nowadays. I’m a sleep technician. I’m pale tired and in need of a resort holiday. Xxx

  • Diving with distinction

I’ve been impressed by many things at Club Med Kani and the Euro Dive team are up there with the best. They have a refreshingly rigorous approach to safety – and one that doesn’t (in anyway) compromise the quality of the diving, if anything it enhances it. I’m a fair-weather diver so having the mini “complimentary” refresher dive was a really good way for me to get my confidence back and for them to assess my ability and diving experience. I then went out for two dives the next morning and both dives were outstanding – not only in the diversity of what we saw (turtles, sharks, stingrays, lion fish, scorpion fish, moray eels, lobsters, travelis, tuna and much more) but the differences between the two dive sites and the professionalism of the dive team and boat crew were outstanding too. It’s not cheap to dive here, but it is worth every penny and I’d do it all again in a heart beat.

  • The more involved you are, the more fun you have!

As a busy working mum, I’m not always someone who dives head first into every activity on offer when I’m on holiday – generally I like to just flop and drop. But all that’s changed since I’ve been here at Club Med Kani. It only took a couple of days for me, and the rest of the family to realise that the more you get involved in, the more fun you’ll have. So instead of sitting by the pool watching the aqua aerobics, I jumped in and joined in….and it was great! A lot more tiring than I expected so I felt I’d earned the cakes and biscuits that are offered for afternoon tea. In the evenings the GOs put on a show – for the first couple of nights we were asleep before it even started but by night 3, we made a commitment to go and we’ve absolutely loved it! There’s a different theme every night but the quality of the performances is excellent – there’s some real talent amongst the GO team. Yesterday the kids got involved in the pool games – basketball and kayak racing up and down the swimming pool. It was heaps of fun and was a great way to get to know some of the other guests. The whole team here go to a massive effort to make your holiday fun and they seem to have boundless energy from early in the morning to late at night. It definitely takes a special type of person to be a GO for Club Med.

  • Out on the water for some high energy fun!

There’s more than enough all inclusive activities to fill your days here at Club Med Kani but we thought we’d give the paid activities a try today. There’s all sorts on offer – jet ski tours, wakeboarding, surfing, local island excursions and lots more. We decided to try Parasailing and Fun Tubing – both high adrenalin activities off the back of a speed boat. We were really impressed with how well maintained all the equipment was – you never felt anything but totally safe and in good hands. The instructors were all good English speakers and looked after the kids really well. They made sure we had an exciting and adrenalin filled experience but not so much that the kids were frightened stiff! The activities aren’t cheap and there is still plenty of free stuff to do on the island but it’s definitely worth choosing one or two of these paid activities as an extra treat.

  • A Feast for the Eyes and the Stomach!

If you’ve ever wondered what the food is like at a Club Med Resort, we can tell you that here at Club Med Kani, the food is incredible. We thought that being on an island, a long way from anywhere, the food might be a bit ordinary but we were so wrong. Every night has a different food theme and last night was the Gala Dinner. It was like being in a hatted restaurant in Sydney. Fresh Tuna Sashimi, amazing seafood, herb crusted lamb racks with beautiful roasted vegetables and a dessert table to die for. We will be carrying an extra few kilos home for sure!

  • Never a Dull Moment

There’s plenty of opportunities to lie around on comfy sun loungers here at Club Med Kani but with so many activities on offer morning, noon and night, there’s hardly time to sit down! Yesterday was an awesome day for us and the kids. While the kids spent a couple of hours in the informal kids club, for 11-18 year olds, we squeezed in a Pilates class and a gorgeous ocean swim. The kids came back having had a great time kayaking and paddle boarding. They even learnt how to play badminton! After a lovely lunch, the kids took us out paddle boarding and the we finished the day with a beer or two and a game sunset beach volleyball with guests and staff. It was a fantastic day all round. The only problem is we’re so tired at the end of the day that we haven’t managed to make it to any of the evening entertainment yet!

  • Our Club Med Home

We’d like to share a few thoughts on our room here at Club Med Kani. For a start the location is perfect, 2 minutes walk from the centre of the village and right on the beach. The adjoining rooms work really well and are perfect for young families. All the facilities are very comfortable and there’s plenty of space to rest and relax. The balconies overlook sunset beach and we can hear the buzz of the sunset beach bar, or the excitement of the evening beach volleyball game. The only slight downside of our central location is that the pumping music from the white party did wakes us from our jet lag induced slumber. But other than that, perfect!

  • Warmly Welcomed!

First of all we\’d like to thank MoM for giving us the opportunity to review the beautiful Club Med Kani in the Maldives. We\’ve arrived on this dreamy island after a seamless journey from Sydney. We were glad to have an overnight in Singapore so we could enjoy a daytime flight to Male and a spectacular boat ride from the airport to the island. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the team of staff who already seem to know us by name and have been extremely friendly. The kids loved the lemonade iced tea they were handed the minute they stepped off the boat! Our room is perfect – amazing view of the beach and really well located close to the pool and beach bar. We’re getting our heads round the enormous amount of activities on offer and we’re busy making plans for tomorrow! Stay tuned for day 2!

  • Love Club Med! Tried 3 so far.

We love Club Med because it is easy to budget for. You know exactly how much you will spend. No extra hidden costs like tipping.
We had our honeymoon at Club Med Lindeman (now closed) and loved it so much we then went to Tahiti – Moorea and then Bintan (an island which is technically in Indonesia but closer to Singapore). Each Club Med has its own charm, lots of things to do (or not do if you just want to relax) and its a great way to meet people from lots of different countries – including Staff as well as Guests.
Also a great way to practice any language skills if you have any (not me).
I have recommended Club Med to most of my friends. Some with children and some without. All came back raving how much they loved it!

  • Fanstastic Golf

My husband continues to talk about his personal golf lesson he arranged one morning during our stay. After venturing out to enjoy 18 holes on the nearby spectacular golf course the day before, he returned frustrated at his seeming endless ability to “slice” his golf ball into the lush jungle that surrounds each hole. After talking to the team in the Club Med Golf clinc, he’d booked himself into a 1-hour lesson to try and improve his game. He has dropped 6 shots since that lesson, so If you are a golfer, then there are 4 magical courses to choose from, or if you are not too serious, join the more social twice weekly Ambrose tournament. The team know what they are talking about.

  • A fine luxury family experience

I was nicely surprised by this resort. The room was extremely confortable and family friendly. A home away from home and very clean. Lots of activities within the resort to please all family members. Close to nearby sightseeing spots so it was no major drama getting out and about. Not that you really want to withhold all they have on offer within the resort

  • A truly relaxing experience

Such a lovely experience. The room was so clean, very comfortable kind of like a luxury home away from home. There are lots of on site activities to suit all ages. It’s also well situated so if you want to head off for the day and check out the local sites, it’s a short drive to most. It cost a little more then we usually spend, but so absolutely worth it. A once in a lifetime experience we’ll remember forever

  • Return to Club Med Bintan

Our family of 5 have recently returned from our second visit to Club Med Bintan Island, (and our third Club Med experience overall).

From the moment we were welcomed into the resort, we knew we made the right decision to come back to Club Med Bintin. We timed our arrival perfectly, we the kids straight into the pool to join the lunchtime pool activity.

It wasn’t long before the kids found their bearings again, and were off exploring the all inclusive sport options available. The girls headed towards the ocean for some snorkelling, one boy went off for tennis and archery, whilst my oldest son when off sail with his Dad. I found a deck chair by the pool and grabbed my book for some relaxation.

Before you knew it, 5pm came round!!!! Massive dilemma! – Cocktails at the beach bar or football (soccer) on the grass between the beach and the pool. Cocktails seem to be the favourite of the Ladies, accompanied by some pre dinner snacks that appeared every afternoon. The Dads, kids and Guest Officer’s enjoyed a not too serious game of football, enhanced by not having many rules.

A beautiful buffet dinner followed with a wide selection of foods from around the globe. Dinner conversation was around what show would be on after dinner, what activities we would be signing up for the next day, and whether we would dine at the Indonesian Restaurant the next day, or continue to enjoy the buffet food.

Best of all, we were revelling in the knowledge that we had 7 more days of this ahead, where you do as much or as little as you like!

    Highly recommended!!

A very wise person once said cleaning with children in the house is like trying to brush your teeth while eating Oreos, and we wholeheartedly agree! Mouths of Mums member Emmeline Goldsmith knows exactly what it’s like trying to keep a home clean while raising little humans. And while she doesn’t claim to have it all together (who does?!) she has a bank of handy cleaning tips she thinks other mums will love.

And that includes using a very clever new mop to tackle a bunch of jobs without so much as raising a sweat.

With two gorgeous boys, Jack and Henry aged five and seven, Emmeline admits she’s had to make peace with the fact that a perfectly clean house isn’t really a thing anymore.

“On the whole, we are definitely clean people,” she explained. “I think I like to tidy up but if it’s getting ready for school and it’s breakfast time and stuff, I’ll just let it all go, and then when they get school, or whenever there’s a chance, I’ll tidy up after so I don’t sort of try and do it all in one go, because it’s too much.”

With that in mind, Emmeline likes to employ tips that help cut down cleaning time, including:

  • Ice cubes in the dryer: Emmeline says all it takes is a few ice cubes tossed into the dryer and you can kiss the iron goodbye. “It acts like a steamer, and then it just gets rid of any wrinkles or creases really, really quickly. So that works very well. I was very surprised with that.”
  • Hairdryer on stickers: If you’ve ever wrestled with a sticky label on a jar or folder, try this: heat it up with a hairdryer to melt the glue. “It just peels right off.”
  • Toilet cleaner in the toilet brush holder: A quick way to keep toilet brushes sanitised and smelling fresh.
  • Cloth on a skewer: Perfect for getting into tight spots, like around the stovetop.
  • Essential oils in the dryer filter: “I’ve done this since the boys were babies. It just makes their clothes smell amazing.”
  • A mop that does more than one job: We sent Emmeline the Vileda H2PRO Flat Mop to try out, and she found a bunch of different uses for this innovative cleaning tool. “This makes it really quick and easy.”

The Vileda H2PRO Flat Mop is the first vertical flat mop to have 100% separation of clean and dirty water through a dual tank system. It’s compact yet powerful with water jets to provide always clean water.

The advanced microfibre is designed for stubborn dirt removal, and to get into all of those tricky corners and hard-to-reach spots.

“It’s just so compact and small, easy to store because it is quite little and easy. You can just throw the pad in the wash, and it’s great because the clean and the dirty water are separate. So it just stays nice and clean, and the jets that spray on it spray clean water onto it. And yeah, it’s great.”

Emmeline has been using the mop for those everyday spills that come with raising kids, but she’s also found a few other uses.

“I’ve used it just on skirting boards, if I’m cleaning the floor, just to go out a little bit, or I did actually use it on our deck. We’ve got a deck outside, and it’s a covered area. And I used it on the ceiling there, and it was quite great, because it, when you use it, there’s not too much water on the pad, so you can just, just use it to wipe off dust.”

While the busy mum-of-two admits mopping isn’t her favourite job, the H2PRO has made it monumentally more bareable!

“I think it’s the best mop I have used. I probably tried, I’d say maybe three different types, but this is compact and easy and quick. My husband likes it too. I would definitely recommend it because it is so, so convenient and it’s not a hassle.”

The Vileda H2PRO is available from Bunnings.

MoM reviewers have recently tried the Vileda H2PRO Flat Mop, see what they thought.

This Real Story was provided as part of a paid sponsorship opportunity. Emmeline was chosen to share her story because she was sent out and tried the Vileda H2PRO and genuinely loved it!

  • I love this article, so many handy tips and tricks. Some o already use, others that are music to my ears. I cannot wait to try a hair dryer on my next sticky sticker situation. I am soooo jealous of the mop it’s not funny. Every home needs one of those!

  • This is so true, my house is never spotless with four kids. I already do some of these tips and agree they help save time. I’ll have to try the dryer and ice cubes this is fab! I’ve had one of these mops and it’s good value for money!

    Reply

  • I do the ice cubes in the dryer and it’s hit and miss depending on the fabric. But the other thing a friend told me is to put a tea towel hanging into the dishwasher as it’s drying the dishes and it will absorb the water on plastic. It works for me

  • I like the idea of a hairdryer to help peel off sticky labels or price tags. This is such a pain if it’s going to damage the thing under it – so I’ll definitely be trying out this tip, and probably sometime soon. Thanks, it’s always useful to get quick ideas like this.

  • I am a fan of products that can be easily stored and can also be used for multiple purposes. I am not keen on keeping too many cleaning products and devices in the house and the less the better. It is better for the environment and for space in the house.

  • I have to admit they are some pretty great tips. I’m all for saving time! I’ve used the drier to “iron” my clothes before but I’ve never tried the icecubes! and I’ll definitely be adding some essential oils to the drier filter as well. Nice and natural, no nasties. What’s not to love?

    Reply

  • Wow, I really love those cleaning tips! They are amazing and I am definitely going to try a few because I have never heard of them previously! The ice cube in the dryer one is a definitely try for me because there are some things like sheets that I avoid drying because they always come out all wrinkly!

  • This was a really great read and so informative. I loved all the helpful tips this mum shared. I am very intrigued by the ice cubes in the dryer, I am going to give this one a try – I will do anything to get out of ironing clothes so thank you very much for sharing your tips.

  • There are some really interesting tips there. I am keen to try the ice cubes in the dryer, it sounds too easy. We can all use some tips to simplify all our day to day chores so they’re not so much of a chore. I’m going to take note of a few here.

  • The older i get the more I appreciate and value good cleaning products that are time saving and make doing chores way more bearable! I would definitely spend if i knew the product was going to work. I love our spray mop that we use for our falls that make it quick and easy to wipe

  • I love all of Emmeline’s little cleaning hacks! Will definitely have to give them a go. The mop sounds so ideal. I have been having difficulty with keeping the floors clean and it isn’t ideal as my 10 month old daughter is having n her crawling phase and therefore her clothes act as the mop! I would love to trial this mop and see if it will help!

  • I’m here for any ironing tips because who loves to iron! Mens shirts are the worse.
On the hunt for this new mop though, this new one sounds amazing having seperate clean and dirty water sections. I think I maybe off to Bunnings to purchase this one. Thanks for the link!

  • Great review and this Vileda H2PRO mop sounds super handy ! I saw last week that Kmart has it’s own cheaper version. Did anyone on here try this ??
I like her other cleaning tips too; I’m definitely going to try the ice cubes in the dryer and the hair dryer on stickers !

  • I really do like to read and watch reviews from members of this community. Thanks so much for sharing a comprehensive review for this mop. I do like the compact design design and other features of this mop; it does look easy to use. I will take at look at it the next time I visit Bunnings.

  • I think the Vileda H2PRO would be super handy for cleaning walls! I love that it has been tried & tested on a ceiling because looking at my patio roof has really been bugging me. Those are two areas I would use it in my whole house if need be, but for me it seems like the cleanest, easiest solution for mopping my upstairs bathroom floors. I have a Dyson mop which I think was worth every cent when it comes to cleaning downstairs but lugging it upstairs is something I’d pay to avoid

  • Every week I’m ironing a bunch of shirts and pants for my husband so I’m *very* keen to give the ice cubes in the dryer hack a try! Anything to get me out of even just one shirt, I’ll take it! I’ve heard and read such great things about this mop, I might have to get one myself
