I have been waiting to see how long the battery life was before I posted my last review. It was 19 days! That is incredible! I love when you charge your toothbrush you can pop it on the charger any way. My children with other leading electric toothbrush always put them on the wrong way forcing them down. I still love all the features of this toothbrush, my only fault is I would like the on button to be higher. I always go to turn it on and the button is not where my thumb is and I need to look where the button is. I highly recommend this toothbrush.

Just received this is the mail today and have to say that I am both impressed and intrigued by the design. This unit is much more streamline and lightweight than I recall my previous versions being (many years ago). So it appears better suited to the little people in the house who are able to grip the narrower handle and manoeuvre the unit more easily. It also seems to have less grooves on the back of the head and the handle for water/toothpaste to accumulate and cause build up, meaning it’s easier to clean too. I am intrigued by the movement of the brush head. My previous experience with electric toothbrushes has been for the head to rotate. This unit does not do that. Instead, it pivots from side to side and up and down, causing a gentle vibration. Interested to see how well it does the job. But from an aesthetic point of view, I think it will suit our young children very well. Looking forward to the charging phase being over and the real test beginning 🙂

I applied for this review as my dentist had suggested I try an electric toothbrush. I was sceptical a brush is a brush right? Well I am happy to admit I was wrong. Whilst they first few times of using an electric brush felt completely strange the clean feeling my mouth had kept me wanting to re-use it. After brushing with the Colgate Pro Clinical my whole mouth feels fresh and clean. I’ve noticed that my fresh clean feeling lasts so much longer than when I use a manual brush. This toothbrush is brilliant. It is such a little pocket-powered device. I just took it away on holidays with the kids over the holidays and I didn’t need to use the charger once. Although I did take it just in case. I had to go get another one as the kids were fighting over it. It seems that this brush is a definite game changer for our household. Miss 5 and 9 love it. The toothbrush was ok for a cheap to average priced electric toothbrush. When i compare it to other electiric toothbrushes i have used it was not the best. I just didnt get that ‘just from the dentist clean’ feeling. I felt that the bristles were too soft and would have prefered harder ones.

I opened this package and was a bit dubious that it would give me a complete clean. I charged it, took no time at all. Put my product on it and I was amazed. I observed the result after the clean – I was surprised by the reflection. Everyone had to wear sunglasses when I smiled. I trialed he good old fashioned way – manual. So its been a few weeks now and im still loving the my colgate electric toothbrush. The sonic wave element is fantastic!! I can feel that it is actually working and getting in all the tricky spots and using it in conjuction with colgates whitning toothpaste has bern working a treat. Ive even had people comment on how clean and white my teeth are which is no doubt the whitning toothpaste aswell. The body is extremely light and easy to handle, it sits well on the dock and doesnt lose any power whilst in use. I would have no problem recommending it to family and friends.

I just bought my new electric tooth brush from Coles and have to say I am not a huge fan of electric toothbrushes at all. However this one I have to say I feel is the best I have ever tried! It really does clean my teeth well and it’s not too harsh on my gums either. Having sensitive teeth I don’t like abrasive things on my teeth but was pleasantly surprised with this brush. I will probably recommend it to others or keep the delight of this brush to myself 🙂

Having used the electric tooth brush now for a couple of weeks now, I am getting used to the vibrations & not knocking my teeth on it nearly as much now. The battery stays charge for a long time, a week or so, which is fabulous! Yesterday we went to the dentist for a checkup and she was impressed by how clean ny daugters teeth were. Some medication she is on causes an increase in build up and discolouration to her teeth but since she’s been using the Colgate ProClinical there has been a huge visible improvement. whilst the design is slim and sleek, I felt the untrasonic vibrations too much for me and ended up using it like a normal tooth brush with out it switched on. the noise in my mouth was a bit too loud. maybe I am too sensitive to it. The charge was quick so was ready to use without too much of a wait.

1. Nappy Free Time

All really good tips. I’m a big believer in not letting them sit in wet nappies for long. Even the most absorbent nappies are resting against their delicate skin and need changing. I’m also a big sudocrem fan. A thin layer applied to irritated skin does wonders. It’s natural for them to have nappy irritations but we can only do our best to avoid it
Really terrific advice. My daughter never had much in the way of nappy rash develop and I believe that because I did change her so frequently and we had a lot of nappy free time, especially in the warmer months of summer. Sure there is things to treat nappy rash but we all know prevention is best!
My first born had terrible nappy rash and ulcers from acid urine and none of the specialists prescription creams did anything. I finally used Petroleum Jelly and it cleared up his skin very quickly and kept future rashes at bay. It is cheap and easy to use and works the best of anything.

I had issues with my son pooping a lot as a newborn. Sometimes it can be really hard to keep the rash at bay if you have a child that is constantly doing that. There is some acidity in the excrement and that can cause burning before it’s even been against their skin for long. I used to use paw paw cream on him and that worked best as a barrier.
Nappy Rash can be so raw and painful and i always worried so much when our babies had a bout of it. I remember trying so many things but always found good old petroleum jelly used regularly would help in keeping it at bay. There are some great suggestions in the article.
I did find that not all nappy rash creams are as good as each other. After trialing many brands I settled on Sudocrem as the best for me and my baby. Changing nappies frequently and air time is also very important.
There are so many common sense tip in this article and they are tips that we followed. We kept everything as natural as possible on very soft and sensitive skin. We went with plenty of nappy free times and we were very fortunate to not encounter issues with nappy rash.
This article describes very much what we always have done: frequent nappy changes, plenty of bare bum time, no fragrances also not in soaps and a good nappy rash cream. It can become more challenging when your child has diarrhea; in which case bare bum time becomes more complex and the skin more irritated in which the gentle washing with warm water, patting dry with a soft cotton flannel and good zinc cream is more important
Even though I agree that prevention is key, I also think it’s important to have a good barrier cream to hand to help at the first signs of trouble. There are lots of good brands, you can pick any really that suits your baby’s skin. But use it liberally when you need it!

But yes, i do swear by changing their nappies as soon as it’s soiled. It’s what worked for us for both children! We always go prepared and change either before going out, during or in the car boot if we really had to
Nappy rash is horrible and prevention is definately better than cure. This is a fantastic article with some great tips. Especially the changing of the nappy frequently. Unfortunately sometimes especially once they’re on solids and their poops get yucky a little nappy rash can be unavoidable in which case a small amount of sudocreme clears it up quickly.
We found that changing nappies frequently was key for us. And once the kids starting sleeping for long periods at night, we started using the really good quality nappies – Huggies, as it happens – while cheaper nappies were still okay for the day and frequent changes. Nappies do vary! .
This is a really great reminder that nappy rash can happen but there are some great tips to help try and avoid it. I use to do a lot of nappy free time with my daughter when we were home as she had sensitive skin and I layered the barrier cream on all the time, especially at night.
