This week we ask real mums to sample and review Full Marks – a revolutionary head lice treatment that contains no traditional pesticides.
Full Marks is gentle on your children’s scalp while still being clinically proven to kill head lice and eradicate eggs.
Unlike other head lice treatments that try to poison the louse with pesticides, Full Marks works by physical action causing irreversible dehydration and shrinkage of the louse.
Why Use Full Marks Head Lice Treatments?
✓ Contains no harsh traditional pesticides
✓ Clinically proven to kill head lice and eradicates eggs
✓ Quickly and easily treat head lice in under 10 minutes
✓ Odourless
✓ Suitable for sensitive skin
✓ Suitable for children over 2 years old
How to Use Full Marks:
Apply to dry hair and leave for 10 minutes.
Comb through hair with comb provided to remove the remains of lice and eggs.
Finally wash out using non-conditioning shampoo. It’s that easy.
Remember to retreat 7 days later*
*With many non-traditional insecticides – including Full Marks Solution – a second treatment, seven days after the first is required. This is to kill any newly-hatched lice which may have been missed in the initial treatment.

Its the best head lice solution I’ve used. I have used it several times and will not use any other product. No smell which is also a great thing also as I know my children used to complain in the past how strong smelling all the other products have been. Recommended this product 100℅
I have had to use this treatment over the holidays as the kids got nits from a friends place. used the treatment and it seemed to do the job. the kids are happy and nit free and I am relieved to have something that worked so well. very good.
I spent over $100 on different head lice treatments that didn’t work trying to get rid of the head lice my son picked up at school. Full Marks is the only one I found that works. Its quick and easy you can see that it works straight away. It also leaves his hair soft and clean afterwards not like a lot of other products I’ve used I recommend it everyone.
I have tried other products before and they have a terrible smell, the kids have complained about a burning feeling while they have to wait, the waiting time is so long for the children to sit and they get fidgety, with this product though the kids didn’t complain about the smell or the burning feeling and it was quick.
I used full marks on my daughters hair.
And it worked well it only needed one application and the nits were gone.
I purchased full marks from my local chemist and only cost me $20.00. Great product easy to use would reccomend. Also works for children who may have sensitive skin 🙂
I changed to this product when my step son kept coming to our house with headlice from school and we werent getting great results from other products. This product blew me away with its ease of use (pump action spray bottle) and how well it worked and that you only had to leave it on for 10 minutes! It also doesnt have a strong smell like alot of the other brands i had tried so was by far a winning product for our family.
I found this very easy to use and it didnt irritate the kids, it doesnt stink like a lot of other brands do and my girls have not had any sign of head lice since ive been using it and they usually would be prone to get them it was a nightmare but not anymore thanks to this great product
Not one I raced out to try as no one had head lice but finally someone in the family did and we tried it. Much much nicer then the old stuff that burned your head we used to use! Barely any smell and has a fantastic concept of how it works, like the idea of rather then multiple poisons on my kids heads!
I would recommend this to others. It works well and is simple and easy to use. Instructions are clear and it doesn’t seem to irritate scalps like other formulations I have used before do. I have no complaints about the product although I would love to never have to us it again!
I’ve used Full Marks Head Lice Treatment in the treatment of eradicating nits and lice before and would use again I’d required. There is no nasty odour and is quite easy to use. The only down fall to Full Marks Head Lice Treatment is that is does leave hair greasy requiring a least a couple of washes.
Full Marks head lice solution is easy to use, especially for children. It doesn’t how a nasty over powering smell, which I love. The price is more than reasonable however, the only drawback for me was that hair is left feeling greasy and does require washing a couple of times. Recommend buying the larger pack to treat the whole family.
I love that you can grab Full Marks Spray Solution from the supermarket. It was easy to use, spraying and combing through the hair. The only drawback was that I found it difficult to rinse out from the hair. The smell wasn’t overpowering compared to other products and after completing the second treatment all the creepy crawled were eradicated.
loved this stuff it was pretty easy to use and wiped out all head-lice in one go the only drawback was how oily it was, even after washing it out. It took about 3 days for hair to stop being oily but would still use it again the price is good and the effectiveness and smell is great.
Used this in the past and found that by the time I’d sprayed and dealt with the hair the solution was all over my hands making the pump hard to use, ended up wasting a towel trying to keep my hands clean and wiping the bottle, and it wasn’t any more effective than other treatments
my hubby grabbed this at the chemist. We also bought a comb. we used it and it did the job. i am happy with the lice free result. Because the smell was not overpowering (which was good), i did wonder if it would actually do the job. We would prefer not to use chemicals on our children but conditioner and combing will only get you so far and other “natural” products were not that effective and costlier. this is a product i would try again and it wasn’t one that i had seen before my hubby purchased it
The treatment was very effective however I found it difficult to get the product out from the hair. I would buy it again as it is the best treatment I’ve tried so far.
I used full marks & It killed off all the headlice and ( apparently) the nits too but in a week I had headlice again and I used full marks again & they didn’t seem to go because at the end of the week I always got headlice I have now used full marks three times and I still get headlice … Soo I need help , shall I continue to use full marks and check through my hair every day picking out nits or shall I use another product ? Because I’ve heard it becomes less effective once it’s been used 3 or more times :/ HELP PLEASE
my daughter often comes home from school with creepy crawleys. We have used many treatments until finding full marks. The creepys were dead within minutes, easy to use and I find that headlice is less of a problem in our house
I saw this product, and my granddaughter came home with head lice from school, so she was treated straight away. This product worked really well. She has hair down to her bottom so it can be difficult to comb out at times, but the Full Marks Spray worked well. It was really easy to comb her hair. The price was reasonable also. Treatments can be so expensive, especially if you have a large family, you really need to treat the whole family at the same time. Thanks for the hint to use Full marks. xx dee
as the name indicates i would like to give this full marks! my daughter has just started school and i was feeling lost as i didn’t knew any solution to lice problem. no worries any more, thanks to this effective product
I brought this after reading reviews about it. So glad i did it is great. No harsh smells like others and it really does kill the lice. Only on the head for 10 min which is great with younger children. Highly recommend.
I applied for this review over 2 years ago; I still have the original bottle (it has lasted this long) and used it on on numerous heads within the family (I have seven children). After using it once, we are lice free (per child) for 12+ or more months. LOVE it and wouldn’t try anything else!
Had to lice dip my girls twice now 🙁 I knew enrolling them in kindy would have its normal hiccups but i didn’t expect having to treat them for headlice…not that they had any but to make sure i could prevent it. I tried a different brand the first time and my girls said it felt hot on their heads and smelt disgusting…but this time i tried Full Marks range and it was great! No horrible smell, easy to use, didn’t phase my kids and no more head lice scares.
I have tried so many head lice treatments out there and there are not many that work very well.
I have probably come across 3 that work well and Full Marks is one of them.
It’s easy to use, doesn’t require to be left on the hair for long and doesn’t smell which makes for less children whinging at a job we all hate.
e brought this. Okay it does not smell great. It killed the nits but did not much about removing the eggs. All good we used a comb then I spent hours went through her head stand for strand. …. But now I have found a second use. Okay I pray her school hat. Twice a week and I mixed into her shampoo so when I wash her hair she will get a small treatment … Does not leave hair oily. But her hair has a nice shine,
Its the best head lice solution I’ve used. I have used it several times and will not use any other product. No smell which is also a great thing also as I know my children used to complain in the past how strong smelling all the other products have been. Recommended this product 100℅
I think this head lice product is very good. my kids got head lice and I used the treatment and it fixed the problem. I would recommend this head lice brand to other mums. I was very happy with the end result and the kids didn’t complain of the lice after the treatment.
I have had to use this treatment over the holidays as the kids got nits from a friends place. used the treatment and it seemed to do the job. the kids are happy and nit free and I am relieved to have something that worked so well. very good.

Mum Reveals Clever Cleaning Tips Everyone Should Know (Including The ‘Best Mop’ She’s Ever Used)
A very wise person once said cleaning with children in the house is like trying to brush your teeth while eating Oreos, and we wholeheartedly agree! Mouths of Mums member Emmeline Goldsmith knows exactly what it’s like trying to keep a home clean while raising little humans. And while she doesn’t claim to have it all together (who does?!) she has a bank of handy cleaning tips she thinks other mums will love.
And that includes using a very clever new mop to tackle a bunch of jobs without so much as raising a sweat.
With two gorgeous boys, Jack and Henry aged five and seven, Emmeline admits she’s had to make peace with the fact that a perfectly clean house isn’t really a thing anymore.
“On the whole, we are definitely clean people,” she explained. “I think I like to tidy up but if it’s getting ready for school and it’s breakfast time and stuff, I’ll just let it all go, and then when they get school, or whenever there’s a chance, I’ll tidy up after so I don’t sort of try and do it all in one go, because it’s too much.”
With that in mind, Emmeline likes to employ tips that help cut down cleaning time, including:
Ice cubes in the dryer: Emmeline says all it takes is a few ice cubes tossed into the dryer and you can kiss the iron goodbye. “It acts like a steamer, and then it just gets rid of any wrinkles or creases really, really quickly. So that works very well. I was very surprised with that.”
Hairdryer on stickers: If you’ve ever wrestled with a sticky label on a jar or folder, try this: heat it up with a hairdryer to melt the glue. “It just peels right off.”
Toilet cleaner in the toilet brush holder: A quick way to keep toilet brushes sanitised and smelling fresh.
Cloth on a skewer: Perfect for getting into tight spots, like around the stovetop.
Essential oils in the dryer filter: “I’ve done this since the boys were babies. It just makes their clothes smell amazing.”
A mop that does more than one job: We sent Emmeline the Vileda H2PRO Flat Mop to try out, and she found a bunch of different uses for this innovative cleaning tool. “This makes it really quick and easy.”
The Vileda H2PRO Flat Mop is the first vertical flat mop to have 100% separation of clean and dirty water through a dual tank system. It’s compact yet powerful with water jets to provide always clean water.
The advanced microfibre is designed for stubborn dirt removal, and to get into all of those tricky corners and hard-to-reach spots.
“It’s just so compact and small, easy to store because it is quite little and easy. You can just throw the pad in the wash, and it’s great because the clean and the dirty water are separate. So it just stays nice and clean, and the jets that spray on it spray clean water onto it. And yeah, it’s great.”
Emmeline has been using the mop for those everyday spills that come with raising kids, but she’s also found a few other uses.
“I’ve used it just on skirting boards, if I’m cleaning the floor, just to go out a little bit, or I did actually use it on our deck. We’ve got a deck outside, and it’s a covered area. And I used it on the ceiling there, and it was quite great, because it, when you use it, there’s not too much water on the pad, so you can just, just use it to wipe off dust.”
While the busy mum-of-two admits mopping isn’t her favourite job, the H2PRO has made it monumentally more bareable!
“I think it’s the best mop I have used. I probably tried, I’d say maybe three different types, but this is compact and easy and quick. My husband likes it too. I would definitely recommend it because it is so, so convenient and it’s not a hassle.”
This Real Story was provided as part of a paid sponsorship opportunity. Emmeline was chosen to share her story because she was sent out and tried the Vileda H2PRO and genuinely loved it!
I love this article, so many handy tips and tricks. Some o already use, others that are music to my ears. I cannot wait to try a hair dryer on my next sticky sticker situation. I am soooo jealous of the mop it’s not funny. Every home needs one of those!
This is so true, my house is never spotless with four kids. I already do some of these tips and agree they help save time. I’ll have to try the dryer and ice cubes this is fab! I’ve had one of these mops and it’s good value for money!
I do the ice cubes in the dryer and it’s hit and miss depending on the fabric. But the other thing a friend told me is to put a tea towel hanging into the dishwasher as it’s drying the dishes and it will absorb the water on plastic. It works for me
I like the idea of a hairdryer to help peel off sticky labels or price tags. This is such a pain if it’s going to damage the thing under it – so I’ll definitely be trying out this tip, and probably sometime soon. Thanks, it’s always useful to get quick ideas like this.
I am a fan of products that can be easily stored and can also be used for multiple purposes. I am not keen on keeping too many cleaning products and devices in the house and the less the better. It is better for the environment and for space in the house.
I have to admit they are some pretty great tips. I’m all for saving time! I’ve used the drier to “iron” my clothes before but I’ve never tried the icecubes! and I’ll definitely be adding some essential oils to the drier filter as well. Nice and natural, no nasties. What’s not to love?
Wow, I really love those cleaning tips! They are amazing and I am definitely going to try a few because I have never heard of them previously! The ice cube in the dryer one is a definitely try for me because there are some things like sheets that I avoid drying because they always come out all wrinkly!
This was a really great read and so informative. I loved all the helpful tips this mum shared. I am very intrigued by the ice cubes in the dryer, I am going to give this one a try – I will do anything to get out of ironing clothes so thank you very much for sharing your tips.
There are some really interesting tips there. I am keen to try the ice cubes in the dryer, it sounds too easy. We can all use some tips to simplify all our day to day chores so they’re not so much of a chore. I’m going to take note of a few here.
The older i get the more I appreciate and value good cleaning products that are time saving and make doing chores way more bearable! I would definitely spend if i knew the product was going to work. I love our spray mop that we use for our falls that make it quick and easy to wipe
I love all of Emmeline’s little cleaning hacks! Will definitely have to give them a go. The mop sounds so ideal. I have been having difficulty with keeping the floors clean and it isn’t ideal as my 10 month old daughter is having n her crawling phase and therefore her clothes act as the mop! I would love to trial this mop and see if it will help!
I’m here for any ironing tips because who loves to iron! Mens shirts are the worse.
On the hunt for this new mop though, this new one sounds amazing having seperate clean and dirty water sections. I think I maybe off to Bunnings to purchase this one. Thanks for the link!
Great review and this Vileda H2PRO mop sounds super handy ! I saw last week that Kmart has it’s own cheaper version. Did anyone on here try this ??
I like her other cleaning tips too; I’m definitely going to try the ice cubes in the dryer and the hair dryer on stickers !
I really do like to read and watch reviews from members of this community. Thanks so much for sharing a comprehensive review for this mop. I do like the compact design design and other features of this mop; it does look easy to use. I will take at look at it the next time I visit Bunnings.
I think the Vileda H2PRO would be super handy for cleaning walls! I love that it has been tried & tested on a ceiling because looking at my patio roof has really been bugging me. Those are two areas I would use it in my whole house if need be, but for me it seems like the cleanest, easiest solution for mopping my upstairs bathroom floors. I have a Dyson mop which I think was worth every cent when it comes to cleaning downstairs but lugging it upstairs is something I’d pay to avoid
Every week I’m ironing a bunch of shirts and pants for my husband so I’m *very* keen to give the ice cubes in the dryer hack a try! Anything to get me out of even just one shirt, I’ll take it! I’ve heard and read such great things about this mop, I might have to get one myself
