I highly recommend the Haier if you want a family friendly, efficient, convenient and all round top performing machine. I was such a skeptic but my experience has been nothing but positive and I love my Haier.

Just keeps getting better!
I decided today to fight the fear and try the wool cycle. A lot of our four kids jumpers are wool, handmade by my grandmothers and treasured. I took the plunge, used the wool cycle and anxiously awaiting the result....No damage, no shrinking and no pilling or pulls and no stains!!! They were gently cleaned and came out like new. Another tick of approval to the Haier.See picture of my son, never would have used a machine for this before! My previous machine would have eaten them despite being quite new, it could never be trusted from the beginning and ruined some clothing. The Haier doesn't get all the clothes twisted and cords tied around things and is way gentler on all our clothes no matter the cycle.
Although with six of us its slightly smaller than our old 9.5kg top loader we are managing and would rather do one extra load on average every three days just for the benefits and it still costs less anyway especially in water usage not to mention the convenience of not hanging into a top loader trying to fish things out.
Overall I'm enjoying my Haier and very pleased with it so far. Next experiment will be trying the presoak option on my babies bibs. Looking forward to the results :)

Ultimate Family Machine, couldnt be happier.
Over the last month I have found washing easier, not as daunting and so much more physically easier.
The Haier has been a huge success in our house and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, quality machine that is designed for families. I couldn't be more impressed, not what I expected when changing from my top of the line top loader to a front loader but I have given away the top loader now and will never go back!
The team at Haier are great (I called the advice line even though I didn't need to to check ;) and they were friendly, helpful and easy to understand which was great. If you are getting a new machine I highly recommend the Haier and its high standard performance.

Fantastic washing machine. Wouldn't go back to a top loader!
After trialling this machine for the past couple of months, I am completely converted to being a front loader user. I would not buy another top loader after seeing how gentle, how efficient and how easy it is on your back. (Bending your knees to load this machine instead of bending at your waist to load/unload a top loader is so much easier on you!) I wash for two kids, my husband and of course myself, so I have really put this machine through its paces and I have been so happy with the results. Clean, well cared for clothes EVERY time.
It's gentle on your clothes, quiet, compact and clever. I happily tell all my friends how great this machine is - I highly recommend the Haier 7kg front loading washing machine.

Highly recommend to all my friends
Not only am I excited to use the machine, but my 3 year old is excited too. Thanks to the Haier front loader being the perfect toddler height, I can include my curious little boy in my daily errand of clothes washing. Previously with my old top loader, he couldn't see what was happening, now he races me to the machine to help and to see the clothes go round and round. It's a great washing machine for the whole family! Even my husband thinks it's great and is a front loader convert- not something I thought would happen!!! Thank you Haier, you've made a delightful and extremely useful front loader washing machine.

Fantastic machine, with lots of different, useful functions.
I love how you can put your washing basket under the opening of the machine and pull out all your washing without straining your back and you don't drop the washing everywhere.
I love the simple, easy to use dial and buttons. The machine has been well thought out and is very user friendly.
The user manual is easy to follow and I have enjoyed getting to know the 10 different program modes. There's a pre-wash, cotton, synthetic, wool, mixed, sport, quick 40, express 15, rinse and spin/drain. In a previous review I have said my favorite is the the quick 40 as it lets me get many loads on washing done in the quickest time frame.
However, I don't like the default to the last program selection. After a particularly long day of screaming kids and maybe one too many glasses of wine, I may have thought I put the machine on the wool program when really, I had forgotten to change the program and it defaulted to my favorite quick 40. My beautiful wool cardigan is now in the bin. This is a user fault not the machine, but I can't help but dislike the default to last program... If only it had to be selected every time, then this silly mummy wouldn't have been caught out!
Overall the washing machine is more than big enough for a family of four and does a terrific job of cleaning heavily soiled, messy kids clothes. To give you an idea of the size of the machine, I can easily fit in a queen sized fitted sheet, a queen sized flat sheet, four pillow cases and four pillow protectors in one load. I am more than happy with the cleanliness of the sheets and pillowcases when they're all washed together and I am always amazed how gentle the machine is. I am yet to come across a piece of clothing or piece linen that has been eaten up in the wash. Something that would happen all too frequently in my old top loader.
The Haier front loader is a great washing machine and I am now a front loader convert. I would definitely encourage people to buy this machine

Love the different features
I love the pre-wash function, which I use if the kids clothes are heavily soiled, the extra rinse function is also great after I add in nappysan.
The cotton cycle is AMAZING. I put my towels and sheets through this function and I have been wowed with the results. My towels looked like brand new and the stains I couldn't get out in my previous machine, were completely gone. They were left fluffy, absorbant and clean.
I would highly recommend this machine to my friends and family.

Perfect Family machine, from mud to newborn it covers all!
I was the owner of a 9.5kg Westinghouse top loader that promised to be the best for a family, especially one including two adults, two school children, a toddler and a new baby. It was great for amount you could fit in but benefits were also its downsides too because it was huge, taking up a large amount of space, hard to reach into and very harsh on clothes and couldn't be trusted with delicates, woolens (of which we have lots) and church dresses and was fading my kids navy blue school, sports and scout uniforms before my eyes.
The Haier is compact, fits the laundry perfectly, is easy enough to load and unload even for my 11 and 9 year olds. It uses a ridiculous amount less water and energy and best of all...
I CAN TRUST IT. After a few weeks of trial I can honestly say that, which I never thought I would about any machine again and I can tell you a few clear reasons why:
*The Sports option for kids muddy and dirty school and scout uniforms gets them wonderfully clean without fading colour but still removing stains.
*Its gentle. Not just on the delicates and wool cycles EVERY cycle. No matter how deep the clean needs to be and intense the cycle nothing becomes tangled, drawstrings stay in and clothes come out as good as new. Major difference to a top loader, even the best of its kind.
*Its easy to access, easy to use and understand. My older children can fill, operate and empty it easily and without help after only a short time of instruction. The cycle titles mean it's easy to identify what is required and which to use simplifying it fantastically. Its quiet, has an amazing water and energy rating and an auto lock for safety especially if you have toddlers.
*It really has a cycle for EVERYTHING A FAMILY NEEDS.
-Two fast cycles for those times you forget you need something, are in a rush or its lightly soiled are very convenient and do a great job.
-cotton cycle for towels, sheets, bedding and for mums who use cloth nappies the temperature control means you can even wash those, especially because of the pre wash cycle for soaking!
- The Sports cycle as I mentioned above is a family MUST HAVE if you want clean without damage leading to needing more frequent replacements and inability to pass down to younger siblings. The Haier masters this.
-Synthetic and mixed are designed for all regular washing and use ideal temperature and allow you to set temperature as do all cycles so you can cold wash or add heat if you need to. Both are gentle and effective.
-pre wash allows you to soak anything and is great heavily stained items, cloth nappies and anything you want to really give a deep intensive clean to. I have found even with the dirtiest of clothes I have not had to use it except when there was a toddler poo explosion in the cot and it was amazing!!
-wool. This would have to be one of my favourites. Our four children wear a lot of handmade woollen jumpers and blankets. My old machine had a wool and delicatessen cycle but it ruined a lot of items, catches, pulls, pilling and stretching were the norm so I couldn't use it. I reluctantly decided since the Haier had been so gentle with all our other clothes to test a weeks load of wool jumpers belonging to my baby and toddler. Not only did it only take 50 minutes, it removed food stains, milk stains and not a single piece of damage or distortion. As you can see in my picture they look as good as new and I couldn't be happier.
* Features like the Intense mode that adds washing time for really dirty items, rinse and rinse and spin cycles, the option to hold or add an extra rinse, adjustable spin speeds and temperature for ALL cycles and a delay option to preset a start time really make this the machine with everything.
The only thing to be aware of is that although it is a 7kg machine only pre wash and cotton allow for 7kg of clothing the rest are either 4kg for regular loads and 2kg for wool and the two fast cycles so don't overfill the machine. Because I have a large family I am doing more loads including wool and baby that many others wouldn't and they have increased in number compared to old machine, but the benefits of the different cycles and difference in our clothes means as well as water savings means an extra load every 3 days or so on average is worth it. I was warned front loaders took a lot longer than a top loader, the Haier has pleasantly surprised me, some cycles are actually shorter and only the cotton cycle is longer.
The Haier is doing an amazing job and I highly recommend it for all the reasons above and to any family who needs a good, easy machine that you can trust not to damage your washing and consistently perform well in different scenarios. Very impressive Haier, I'm a convert.

Still loving this machine
I took the plunge and threw in my favourite merino wool cardigan. I am more than happy to recommend the wool program which is preset to 40 degrees and a spin cycle of 600 rpm. My cardigan came out feeling amazing, well washed, no damage and no shrinkage. So now in go all my babies merino suits without any hesitation.
Overall I am still very satisfied with this washing machine and I highly recommend it. The picture is of my towels having the cotton 'treatment' or program, 3h35mins at 60 degrees.
