    We buy the plain Greek yoghurt and add a bit of brown sugar. The whole family loves it. Add to muesli, muffins, in cooking, or just eaten on its own. We definitely recommend it and buy it regularly in this household.

  • The coconut yoghurt is heaven!

    The Jalna Greek yoghurt in the coconut flavour is absolute heaven. I have never been a huge yoghurt eater but since trying this Jalna yoghurt I have been converted. My husband and my children have loved it for a long time but now that I am on board as well we usually go through two tubs a week. I like that is it quite often on special at the larger supermarket chains, which is always a nice saving.

    Just love to eat all the time. My baby also love to eat . Whenever I go to store I never come back without buying this Jalna yogurt.

    It is so natural, thick in texture and so delicious. Even my baby is under 1 year but he knows its taste very well and never said no to this. Otherwise he spits on his clothes while eating other things.

    Its good in taste, texture, in packaging and cheap in price. Important thing is my kid loves to eat. He enjoy every dish I made by using this. If my baby is eating healthy and natural thing then whatelse I want. Obviously I would be more happy. So I would greatly recommend this to people of all ages. Great.

    We have loved trying out the Jalna range of Pot Set Yoghourts and we have found that there is a yoghourt pot flavour to suit everyone in this dairy loving family.   • Perfect Passion.

    So I baked a NEVER FAIL SPONGE (family fave and one I submitted here ages ago).Children's Sand Castle Cake. "Never Fail Sponge"

    But this time I iced it with the icing recipe I used on my Jalna Hummingbird cake, Yoghourt cream cheese frosting, Yoghourt chocolate bubble bark , instead of using the Jalna pot set yoghourt with coconut I used the PASSIONFRUIT variety (passionfruit icing is a weakness of mine) and oh my was I super impressed. The frosting was sooo creamy and fluffy and the passionfruit yoghourt gave it a irresistibly tangy but delightfully sweet blissful taste.

    Seriously Jalna is so wonderfully versatile ...spoon and dip, blend and sip, or bake and create this brand truly is unique and pot set perfect.

  • Raspberry and white Chocolate muffins sold out.

    I whipped up a batch of Raspberry and white Chocolate muffins for a bake sale...they sold out in under 10 minutes. I included the recipe and ingredients so lets hope your sales for delicious JALNA increases. By the way I also had a veggie slice that took 25 minutes to sell ...folks can pick the most divine items can't they.

    Jalna really is so very versatile and this JALNA pot set yoghourt with raspberries that I used for these muffins sent them from satisfying to sensational.

    Jalna really is the brand we adore they have so many delicious varieties that deliver more..from creamy plain to luscious fruit , greek and A2 one for me and one for you.

    Jalna pot set yoghourt with coconut is the product I am reviewing and it is renewing my love for granola. Pure the granola into a bowl add caramelised banana and pineapple and pure over the Jalna coconut yoghourt, close your eyes, open your mouth and spoon in pure paradise.

  • Best Yogurt for Littlies

    I won't buy any other brand of yogurt for my 21 month old son! When I moved him onto solids, I searched for a brand that had no added cane sugar, yet was sweet enough to be enjoyable. Jalna was the only brand that met my requirements. Best of all my little boy loves it and frequently has it for his dessert. His eyes light up and he squeals when he sees the pot.

    I enjoy eating Jalna yoghurt. It comes in lots of lovely flavours which all taste great. I especially enjoy strawberry and vanilla in their greek style yoghurt. I like buying the larger pots and find it great value for money. I would recommend this yoghurt for families as there's lots to share and enjoy in each pot.

    Jalna Pot set yogurt is a regular in our household. We often try other brands but whenever we see Jalna on special we always buy it. Our favorite is the Vanilla. Its sweet and creamy so the kids love it but its not too high in sugar so mum is happy too.

    Jalna Yoghurt is simply delicious, everyone in the family loves it, it is a fridge staple. All the flavours are great. The best thing about the natural or greek flavours is that they are multipurpose, you can add a dollop to soup or just chop up some fresh fruit and add Jalna as a great healthy snack for the kids.

  • Delicious, yummy, just love to eat three times a day.

    My baby have just started eating solids 2 months ago. I started giving him Jalna yogurt as well, all the time he just finish it. Now, as he started saying few words. Once he finish spoon by spoon of yogurt, he keep saying num num num num and continue. I feel good that my baby is eating healthy food. As I can mix this with fruits as well, which he usually finish.

    The closest to homemade yogurt

    I am so in love with Jalna since 2012. It is the best yogurt so far and I can't live without it. Its closest to the homemade yogurt i grew up eating.

  • Love this yoghurt

    I have tried the natural, sweet and natural and coconut flavoured Jalna pot set yoghurt and we loved them all. It is so thick so you don't need as much as other "runny" yoghurts. This would have to be the vwet yoghurt on the market and although more expensive than other brands....worth the cost. This yoghurt is a winner .and gets the thumbs up from our whole family

  • Versatile yoghurt

    Yoghurt can be used for so many different things - straight up or with fruit or muesli, porridge, in curries or pastas, cakes and desserts. A pot of yoghurt will never reach its used by date with this many uses. My daughter has only just started solids and yoghurt is on her "i like" menu. I am trying to avoid sugar in foods for as long as possible, so natural yoghurt is a winner here. As a busy mum we dont always have time to sit and eat a snack or lunch, a spoon of yoghurt straight from the pot is quick and simple and carries you over til you have more time (if that exists!) Jalna website is a great source of information and inspiration when it comes to new and exciting dinners that incorporate their yoghurt. Jalna pot set yoghurt is a WINNER in our house.

  • I've tried a different flavour

    So here's my dessert tonight, more yoghurt and if I'm honest, I prefer the natural flavour I tried the other day more than this vanilla flavour, which surprised me caus I expected to like this more.... this one tasted more like traditional yoghurt than the other creamy one, however still scooped nice like ice cream and still yummy. Perhaps I just set my expectations too high with the different flavours, but my favourite flavour still is natural, but I've got many other flavours to try yet!

  • Blueberry delight.

    I purchased a small pot of Jalna pot set yoghourt with blueberries so I could whip up a batch of blueberry and chia muffins but when I went to the frig to retrieve the yoghourt I could not find it. Later discovered the empty container in the bin...DH and DS devoured the pot over their cereal so I am told and just a heads up it was delicious with lashings of crushed blueberries. Thank goodness we had a pot of raspberry as well (untouched) so the muffins turned out to be raspberry and white chocolate.

Mum-of-two Rebecca McCracken has spent the last four years reading ingredient lists on pretty much everything she buys at the supermarket.

Like many parents raising kids with food allergies, a quick trip to the supermarket often means checking labels, comparing products and hoping to find something the whole family can eat.

Bec’s four-year-old son and 17-month-old daughter were both born with cow’s milk protein allergy. While her son has since outgrown his allergies, her toddler still reacts to dairy, making even everyday staples like bread a challenge.

“Unless we buy expensive sourdough for seven or eight dollars, we don’t really have a choice.”

Even then, it’s not ideal.

“A kid doesn’t want to eat a sourdough sandwich,” Bec laughs. “And fairy bread on sourdough is not great.”

A New Loaf On The Block

Bec runs an online community for allergy families, so she spends plenty of time sharing recipes, product finds and supermarket discoveries with other parents.

It was one of those parents who first told her about new JUST bread.

“A follower messaged me and said, ‘Oh my gosh, this bread is coming soon.’ I was like, ‘Where? When? I need to know. I’m getting my car keys and running!'”

Made with baker’s flour, water, yeast, vinegar, oil and salt, JUST bread contains no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours.

For Bec, it sounded almost too good to be true. “When we saw JUST bread, I was like, ‘You’re joking.’ A bread that’s fresh baked but in the bread aisle? That’s unheard of for us.”

“It was really exciting for our family and for the allergy community.”

The Family’s Toughest Critic Approved

Of course, there was one person whose opinion mattered more than anyone else’s.

“My toughest critic is my daughter. She is so fussy. We know something is really good if she approves it, and she approves it. She loves it. She’ll eat it plain, toasted, as French toast … whatever. She loves it.”

Bec says she was impressed too.

“I like it. I like that it’s only got minimal ingredients and doesn’t have the additives and preservatives that are in a lot of other brands.”

A Simpler Option For Everyday Families

Bec tried out JUST bread because of her family’s allergies, but she says it has a broader appeal.

“I think everyone is becoming more conscious of additives and preservatives in their food.”

It’s a feeling many of us can probably relate to. We don’t all want to overhaul the way we eat, but plenty of us are paying a little more attention to ingredient lists and looking for products that keep things simple.

Bread is one of those foods that’s always around. It ends up in lunchboxes, on the breakfast table, alongside soup on a cold night and covered in hundreds and thousands at birthday parties. When we eat something that often, it’s only natural to wonder what’s in it.

JUST bread keeps things simple with a handful of pantry ingredients and no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours. It’s the sort of loaf that fits easily into busy family life without asking us to compromise on taste or convenience.

  • It’s at a good price point for families on a tight budget and is “cleaner” but missing the mark with Canola oil . I wouldn’t be running to a supermarket for it but it’s alot better than other varieties on the market. It’s nice to see supermarkets are at least trying and listening

  • Most breads are dairy free anyway so I am surprised by this article. Additive free is a bonus. I always go for a grain bread nowadays and have the kids eating it too so I’ll be sticking with that. It’s always great to have variety out there though for the ones that need it.

  • We bought this bread from the supermarket and it is a good price for bread which of course can indeed be expensive. Each slice is a good size and our favourite meal to create and eat with this bread is cheese toasties. The bread holds and is good to eat.

  • I am so glad to hear about this and will definitely be on a look out for this in the supermarket. I have noticed that there are starting to be more ‘cleaner’ products in the supermarket, meaning consumers are being heard. We are going full circle back to how foods use to be produced before companies got greedy and started taking shortcuts to producing food items. I hope we continue seeing more preservative and additive free options that are affordable come back in the supermarkets.

  • Grabbing your car keys and running for a bread ?? I can’t imagine doing so for a bread lol ! It’s nice to see that more and more allergy friendly products are being produced and put on the market.
    I don’t agree with the statement that “A kid doesn’t want to eat a sourdough sandwich”. It depends on what type of bread you introduce to your kids. My kids grew up with 7 seeds, rustic bread and sourdough and they love it. It’s also quite easy and cheap to make sourdough bread yourself.

  • I haven’t seen this bread in the supermarket but will be looking for it now. I have been trying to avoid preservatives and additives for some time now and as highlighted in the article bread it difficult to find, or super expensive, without them so I don’t have it often.

  • This is fantastic, finally a bread that is not full of nasty stuff. I will be going straight out to buy this. My son has ARFID and will only eat white bread, but it’s not terribly healthy. With this bread, at least I know that it is much healthier than the alternatives. Woohoo

  • I cant wait to give this bread a go (so far its always been sold out at my local woolies so it must be good). So good its suitable for those with allergies too. I think nowadays were all looking for cleaner options of ingredients in our foods so this is a step in the right direction.

  • I am glad more and more allergy friendly products are being produced and offered. I don’t agree with Bec’s statement that kids don’t like sourdough bread. My kids were introduced to sourdough and the most rustic and seeded breads from the time they started to eat bread, and they love it

  • Oh I cannot wait to try this bread! We go through that much bread each week and I always feel so guilty with how much my kids have – not anymore! Would love to see them introduce other variants in the future – multigrain and gluten free would be superb!

  • This is such a great product that I’m looking forward to trying! I’ve only been buying bread from bakeries the last few years because grocery store bread texture was so dense and unpleasant. But the hassle with bakery bread is I can’t get it everywhere! I’ll be really keen to give this a go
