One sachet is enough to infuse 500g of chicken (or your choice of meat and veggies) to give you and your family a PERi-fect meal in 3 Easy Steps!

1. Simply add your choice of meat or veggies (or both!) to the cooking bag.

2. Sprinkle in the PERi-PERi spice. Fold the bag along the edge and give it a gentle shake.

3. Lay it flat on a baking tray, making sure that none of your meat is lying on top of each other, then pop it in the oven for 30 minutes. It’s as easy as that! After 30 minutes, remove from the oven, tear the bag and revel in the masterpiece which you’ve created.

  • Lemon & Herb

    I really love the lemon & herb bag & bake by Nando’s. My husband and I both enjoyed the chicken I cooked in it and we are excited to make it again, I actually have another one ready to go.

    I enjoyed the burgers we made so much that I am tempted to just do the same again, but this would also be really good with rice or salad. There are so many great options to use this product.

    I personally thought it was amazing in homemade rolls with lettuce, tomato and cheese.

    We will happily keep making this one. It is super easy, convenient, delicious and versatile.

  • Loving the flavours and spices

    I really enjoyed both the Lemon and herb and the medium variety of Nandos Bag and Bake

    Bursting flavours of herbs and spices. I love how fresh the chicken tasted. I like that I can use Nandos bag and bake with fish and other meats. The meat was really tender and was marinated beautiful, this will definitely be added to my regular Woolworths shop.

    It was surprisingly delicious. It will end up being a regular in our house. With fussy children and husband it was something that everyone loved. I enjoyed both flavours but preferred the lemon flavour. I liked how it made it into an easy dinner and something I know my family will eat

  • Medium Peri Peri

    The Nando’s Peri Peri Bag & Bake Medium was very tasty! It was spicy to the point that it made my lips quite tingly, but it tasted so good that I didn’t want to stop eating it. My husband loves spicy food so he was very happy to have the medium one.

    This is a convenient, quick and easy meal that is also versatile. It doesn’t make a mess of the tray or oven so it is really fast to tidy up once dinner is ready.

    I made burgers with our chicken but it would also be fantastic with rice or salad (or many other ways!)

    The instructions are simple, the meal is delicious and we were very happy.

    I loved how easy and fast this was to use but must of all I loved how delicious it made chicken taste! I also used it on white fish for tacos and it was sublime, recommend highly!

    Nando’s Peri Peri Lemon & Herb is so delicious!

    I put 500g chicken in the bag, added the spice sachet, gave it a little shake and put it in the oven for 30 minutes. The chicken came out perfectly cooked and tasted absolutely delicious.

    The best things about this meal are: easy, convenient, quick, full of flavour and versatile.

    I would happily serve this chicken again. If my fussy children had been willing to try it, I am sure they would have enjoyed it too. I didn’t push too hard though because I wanted the leftovers. Haha.

    I recommended this product and I will happily purchase again. :)

  • Surprisingly delicious!

    I was prepared for this to be disappointing. I really love Nando’s and wasn’t sure this would be any good in comparison.

    We tried the Medium spice because my husband loves spicy food and I am not very good at handling hot stuff. We didn’t bother trying to feed it to the kids because they hate even a little spice.

    The instructions are simple and easy to follow, the cooking process is simple and fuss free, and the finished product is delicious.

    We used chicken and used it to make burgers for dinner. Husband and I were both fans. I am keen to try the mild spice now!

  • Scrumptious quick and easy meal

    I absolutely loved the Nandos bag and bake. We used turkey breasts with the lemon and herb spice and beef sizzle steaks with the medium spice. I’ve always been a lemon n herb gal, so this was my favourite. I was amazed that in only 30 mins in the oven the steaks were juicy, succulent and so very flavoursome. Also so healthy and no mess. I will definitely be buying these regularly!

  • Absolutely beautiful

    I tried the medium heat bag n bake about a month ago, I did it a little different though. Coated chicken breast fillets and did it in my airfryer, I followed all of the other instructions apart from the cooking method, and it came out beautiful, juicy and tender. Flavour was amazing, will definitely purchase it again. (Note: you can put the bag in the airfryer)

  • Not a bad idea for a quick meal

    This product was really good. The meat was juicy and fresh and the whole meal was delicious and refreshing. The dressing was a bit tangy but complimented well with salad. My partner and I both enjoyed it and will definitely be purchasing this one again and we will be trying the different flavours. The kids were not 100% sold but over all would try again.

  • Peri peri bag and shake

    Delicious seasoning, altering how it is cooked but with almost the same simplicity works well too. Instead of cooking it in the bag, use the bag to shake the seasoning and flour mix over diced chicken pieces then pop them onto the deepfryer or air fryer and wallah, you have delicious seasoned popcorn chicken. I used the peri peri medium bag and bake for this and I would recommend for sure

  • A new favourite

    The Nando’s Bag & Bake is a new favourite in our house. We like to alternate between different spice levels. Definitely my favourite way to have it is as chicken burgers served with homemade chips.

    The Lemon & Herb extra mild flavour is delicious. It is not spicy at all so is the perfect option for kids to enjoy too. I love the flavour and it goes so well with homemade rolls to make chicken burgers.

    We need to try out some different ways to serve this chicken but it is so good in burgers and I can’t stop having it that way. Haha.

    It is quick and easy, versatile, delicious and a new favourite in our home.

  • Medium is yummy!

    As someone who isn’t very good with spicy food, I honestly thought the Nando’s Medium Bag & Bake was delicious! It made my lips feel tingly as I ate it but wasn’t overwhelming so I could eat it and enjoy it. My husband loves spicy food and he was happy with the level of spice in this meal.

    The Nando’s Bag & Bake is a fantastic meal option. There are so many options on what to cook in it, there is a spice level to suit everyone and it is so convenient.

    We have added this to our meal rotation and really enjoy it.

  • Easy and tasty!

    I loved the idea of a bag because normal seasoning sachets can be messy.

    The mild flavour was delicious! Our favourite. We love Nandos and being able to enjoy something similar was great. Next time we will cook it on the BBQ for the extra bit of flavour.

    Delicious and amazing flavours. The kids absolutely loved these. I made a rice with veggies too as a side and a dollop of Greek Yoghurt. Will definitely be purchasing again.

  • 4 star great chicken

    when i received this product i was so exited to try. however the only downside was it says cook in electric oven only and i have gas. so never mind that. the spice comes separate from the bake bag, so i improvised and tuned my chicken into strips and made chicken strips on the stove top. it was yummy delish and i recommend to anyone whom has an electric oven not a gas one. kids loved it

    As the saying goes, Winner winner chicken dinner! I sadly didn't receive a sample of this but when I saw it in the store I had to try. And boy did Nando’s Peri Peri Lemon & Herb not disappoint!

    All you have to do is put 500g chicken in the bag, add the spice sachet, Shake shake shake and put it in the oven for 30 minutes. The chicken was perfectly cooked and so juciy! Everyone in the family loved it and said it tasted yummy!

    Its so easy and full of flavour for any night of the week.

    I recommended this product to others and I will happily purchase again...and again and again!

    I was a bit cynical about how this product would work, placing chicken in the paper bag to cook it, but was pleasantly surprised that it worked so well. Very tasty and delicious for not too much effort. We love it and would buy again.

    Sadly I couldn’t try this product because of the barley in it. But when I asked my husband he loved it and would like to have it for dinner again the chicken was moist and held the flavour well.

Depending on their age there are so many safe and easy breakfasts kids can make themselves. From toasties, to yoghurt pots prepped the night before or just cereal. Not having to make breakfast for everyone will literally save you hours every week!

2. Lay Out Clothes For The Week

Use a hanging organiser or labelled baskets for each day. Include uniforms, socks and undies. Kids can dress themselves without the drama of missing items. I’ll be honest, my kids’ uniforms are expensive, so I wash during the week as they only have a couple of sets. However, if nothing else, having just socks and underwear sorted for the week is an absolute lifesaver!

 

The other huge help is not having to pre-treat stains on my kids’ uniforms, nobody has time for that during the week! My extra tip here is to use a great quality laundry detergent that is powerful enough to remove stains in-wash, so you don’t need to worry about pre-treating. 3. Use A Family Calendar System

 

Whether it’s a wall planner, a shared phone calendar or a digital calendar, you need everyone to be able to track all activities, due dates and after-school commitments in one place. It also helps gives the kids a a sense of responsibility and doesn’t leave everything on your shoulders!

4. Plan A Weekly School Admin Session

Answer school emails, sign permission forms, top up canteen accounts and check term calendars in one go instead of daily interruptions. You may only need to do this fortnightly or monthly, but just make sure you schedule it in your calendar. Trust me, it saves so much time compared to juggling things bit by bit!

5. Quick-Fire Cleaning Sessions

Set a timer for ten minutes in the afternoon, pop on some music and everyone tidies their zone. This includes the kids emptying their lunchboxes, washing their drink bottles, handing you any notes and putting their clothes in the wash. Small bursts like this stop the house turning into chaos by Friday.

6. Have A Snack Station

Keep a drawer or fridge shelf filled with ready portions. Kids can pack their own snacks for school, and also grab something to eat when they get home. Think ahead and include them in the weekly shopping – ask them what snacks they would like (and cross your fingers they’ll still like them all week!).

7. Set Up A Family Charging Station

One spot for iPads, laptops and phones. No searching for chargers or discovering a dead laptop ten minutes before school! Make sure each child puts their school device on charge when they get home, as part of their Quick-Fire Cleaning Session.

While we can’t promise your school weeks won’t have moments of chaos, taking some of these tips on board will save you time – even if it’s just five minutes here and there. It’s about building realistic habits for the whole family, that will hopefully bring some calm to the school week.

  • There are some great ideas here! I just use an old school paper calender but its so helpful to remember all the important dates – i always buy a family planner one so theres columns for each of us to write what were doing om certain days so we never run out of space! I need a snack station, but struggle to have healthy (or healthier) choices in the cupboard apart from the usual chips, rice crackers and museli bars!

  • There are some good hints here! I already do have a little snack station in my pantry – a large container filled with all sorts of bars, etc. It’s the first place the kids look for something to eat. I do like the idea of a charging station but I don’t think it would work in my house. Everyone seems to like charging things in their room and it could look messy with multiple cords.

  • The struggle is real so I’m loving these hints. I especially like the idea of getting the kids involved in preparing their own lunches and snacks and offering a variety of options that will hopefully encourage them to make healthy choices now and into the future.

Most of these I already do but it has reminded me to add a few other things to my list to organise before the school year starts in a couple of weeks. Helpful tips like this are so great as you can never remember everything and this sure has given me a few extra things to think about.

  • We do daily life admin because it simply makes life easier to stay on top of everything that is required to run a family and household. Planning and organisation is so vital for every family and for a household. It really is very important to stay on top of all things at all times.

  • I love this article. I can relate to a lot of these ideas. For instance, I have a snack shelf in my pantry so my kids can choose and pack their own snacks. No more asking them what they want. We also have a family charging station in the kitchen. iPads, laptops and phones are only allowed to be charged on the kitchen bench. I love the healthy cookies. I must give these a go. The family calendar system is a must too!

  • I totally agree with most of these. We bought some inexpensive cereal dispensers, and that made mornings much easier. And school admin? For me, that is every Wednesday right before a regular appointment. It fitted in perfectly, I never overlooked anything, and if I didn’t need it it was a glorious burst of free time.

  • I love this article and the tips and already follow many of them. I have always been a big fan of schedules and planners and they simply make sense and make sure everyone in the family is on task. I also love snack stations; one for the fridge and one for the pantry; again it makes sense and makes preparing food and lunchboxes and snack times easy.
