  • Great plant based option in NESCAFE Gold

    The NESCAFÉ Gold plant based lattes are the perfect on the go treat. My favourite is the coconut latte but all of the flavours are tasty. After being recommended to avoid dairy I switched to these sachets. I take one to work to have with my morning tea every day. Hits the spot every time!

  • Love this as my treat..

    Smells divine and has a smooth taste, my fave is the Coconut Latte. I actually put my milk frothing whiz handle in it to whip (this is just how I prefer it) and it gives it that crema. As a breastfeeding Mama this is my treat, a box lasts me 2 months that's if my girlfriends don't come around and raid my coffee jar lol.

  • Great with soy milk

    NESCAFE Gold Plant Based Almond Latte is a great coffee to have in the afternoon as a pick me up with some regular soy milk for a great taste.

  • Great alternative to my normal latte.

    I purchased the coconut latte after seeing them on here. I really liked the flavor as an alternative to my normal milk latte. I don’t have a dairy intolerance, but do like to use almond or oat milk for a different taste. I will definitely try the other flavors - I keep these types of sachets at work to cut down on coffee shop spending.

  • Creamy Coconut Delight

    Super easy to make and surprisingly creamy. You can taste the classic Nescafé coffee with a slight sweet coconut flavour. It’s super convenient and good for my pocket. I don’t have to go finding a good coconut milk suitable for hot coffees or a cafe who generally only sell almond lattes as a dairy alternative. Also a plus is that you don’t feel bloated after it and I love coconut so this was delicious for me!

    Latte drinks are a favourite and delicious drink that I love to drink during the day. Being chosen to review Nescafe Gold Lattes was a wonderful treat for this latte lover. I happily shared the sachets with family and friends that also love latte drinks.     I was quite thrilled to trial, taste, drink and review Nescafe's range of Oat Latte sachets. The sachets are so easy to open and to use.     Thank you to Mouths Of Mums and Nescafé for giving me the chance to trial Nescafé Gold Oat Latte. This was my first time to have a latte and I absolutely

  • Awesome options for someone on diet

    This is such a great for coffee lovers who has lots dairy restrictions. I have lots of workmates who’s dairy intolerant and I recommended it to them (gave some packets for them to try as well) and they loved the taste of it! I’m excited to try the almond latte as well as I’m on keto diet.

    We tried the coconut latte. The flavour is okay and it has a surprisingly pleasing texture when considering that it is dairy free. At the end of the day, I'd recommend to those I know who cannot have too much milk, however, I would personally prefer to indulge in lactose lattes and then pay the price .

    These plant based lattes are an amazing alternative to dairy etc. The coconut flavour is my favourite to drink. The flavour is not too weak, but not over powering. I found it to be pleasant. I have purchased these sachets quiet a few times and will continue to pop in the trolley.

  • A great alternative, if you need it

    Very impressed that nescafe brought out this range, so of course had to give them a go. We tried the coconut flavour. It is a lovely coffee, with a decent flavour, but the milk range does pack a bit more of that something special. Our household can fortunately have milk and willl continue with other nescafe products in that range, but this is a fabulous alternative to suit this particular dietary nees. Great to see

    Love these - cant believe that they are plant based. So much better than I expected! They are so easy to make, and are so creamy! Great tasting and defiantly will buy again. These are such a great alternative to milk based products. Great to see that they have a few different options from almond milk, to Oak milk and even coconut milk.   • Pretty good. You can tell they are non-dairy.

    I liked these as an alternative to dairy coffee sachets. I don't eat 100% dairy free but I do add some dairy free alternatives to my diet as they don't make me feel sick like dairy products do. As I drink both dairy and dairy-free coffee these taste very different to the regular sachets. They are still yummy but I wouldn't buy them thinking you wouldn't be able to tell. I would buy again.

    Love the Coconut Latte in the Nescafe Gold plant base lattes. I take one to work each day and find the enhancement of the coconut is very different and taste extra special. There are so many different varieties yet I love the coconut the best to my liking. I offer visitors a choice of which one they would like to try and most say the coconut.

    Absolutely loved the oat flavoured sachets, they are so creamy and you wouldn’t really believe they are plant based. I do love the healthier alternative to your regular coffee. Sometimes I love to change up my coffees. This was a lovely one to drink. I will be buying more in the future. The pricing isn’t to bad either. Especially when a sale comes through.

    These latte sachets are amazing and delicious. They offer a dairy free, instant latte for those with dietary requirements. As people become more conscious of their diets, these are amazing alternatives to the traditional instant latte sachets. I find having a variety of these is great for when you have guests over.   • Not my "cup of tea"

    I did not enjoy these, they are probably good for someone who needs a milk alternative but to me i could tell it wasn't real milk and didnt enjoy, They also tasted a bit too sweet for my liking. WIll be sticking to my regular coffee!

    Creamy and heavenly! I tried the Coconut Latte while on a break for 10 mins and really enjoyed it. I felt recharged and ready to face the day again :)

  • Ok but missing something

    Coffee if my life, I would struggles to see the day through without a cup or two (or three) the problem with Thai plant based coffee is that it is lacking the flavour and tingling tastebuds needed to stimulate my senses. Nothing like adding a good dash of milk to solve the problem. The other issue is the weakness of the coffee. I need a strong Cup’a to survive the day, and let’s face it don’t most of us mummy’s!

Mum-of-two Rebecca McCracken has spent the last four years reading ingredient lists on pretty much everything she buys at the supermarket.

Like many parents raising kids with food allergies, a quick trip to the supermarket often means checking labels, comparing products and hoping to find something the whole family can eat.

Bec’s four-year-old son and 17-month-old daughter were both born with cow’s milk protein allergy. While her son has since outgrown his allergies, her toddler still reacts to dairy, making even everyday staples like bread a challenge.

“Unless we buy expensive sourdough for seven or eight dollars, we don’t really have a choice.”

Even then, it’s not ideal.

“A kid doesn’t want to eat a sourdough sandwich,” Bec laughs. “And fairy bread on sourdough is not great.”

A New Loaf On The Block

Bec runs an online community for allergy families, so she spends plenty of time sharing recipes, product finds and supermarket discoveries with other parents.

It was one of those parents who first told her about new JUST bread.

“A follower messaged me and said, ‘Oh my gosh, this bread is coming soon.’ I was like, ‘Where? When? I need to know. I’m getting my car keys and running!'”

Made with baker’s flour, water, yeast, vinegar, oil and salt, JUST bread contains no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours.

For Bec, it sounded almost too good to be true. “When we saw JUST bread, I was like, ‘You’re joking.’ A bread that’s fresh baked but in the bread aisle? That’s unheard of for us.”

“It was really exciting for our family and for the allergy community.”

The Family’s Toughest Critic Approved

Of course, there was one person whose opinion mattered more than anyone else’s.

“My toughest critic is my daughter. She is so fussy. We know something is really good if she approves it, and she approves it. She loves it. She’ll eat it plain, toasted, as French toast … whatever. She loves it.”

Bec says she was impressed too.

“I like it. I like that it’s only got minimal ingredients and doesn’t have the additives and preservatives that are in a lot of other brands.”

A Simpler Option For Everyday Families

Bec tried out JUST bread because of her family’s allergies, but she says it has a broader appeal.

“I think everyone is becoming more conscious of additives and preservatives in their food.”

It’s a feeling many of us can probably relate to. We don’t all want to overhaul the way we eat, but plenty of us are paying a little more attention to ingredient lists and looking for products that keep things simple.

Bread is one of those foods that’s always around. It ends up in lunchboxes, on the breakfast table, alongside soup on a cold night and covered in hundreds and thousands at birthday parties. When we eat something that often, it’s only natural to wonder what’s in it.

JUST bread keeps things simple with a handful of pantry ingredients and no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours. It’s the sort of loaf that fits easily into busy family life without asking us to compromise on taste or convenience.

Little Changes, Big Difference

 

For Bec, finding a loaf of bread her whole family can enjoy is about more than ticking another item off the shopping list.

“It seems like such a little thing to the normal community, but for us this is a massive win.”

Being able to make sandwiches without worrying about ingredients. Packing lunchboxes a little more easily. Bringing back fairy bread for birthdays. Sometimes it’s the little things that make family life feel a whole lot simpler.

And while Bec found JUST bread because she needed another allergy-friendly option, its simple ingredient list is likely to appeal to plenty of other families too. After all, when we can choose everyday foods made with ingredients we recognise, that’s a pretty good place to start.

I have noticed that there are starting to be more ‘cleaner’ products in the supermarket, meaning consumers are being heard. We are going full circle back to how foods use to be produced before companies got greedy and started taking shortcuts to producing food items. I hope we continue seeing more preservative and additive free options that are affordable come back in the supermarkets.

    I don’t agree with the statement that “A kid doesn’t want to eat a sourdough sandwich”. It depends on what type of bread you introduce to your kids. My kids grew up with 7 seeds, rustic bread and sourdough and they love it. It’s also quite easy and cheap to make sourdough bread yourself.

  • I haven’t seen this bread in the supermarket but will be looking for it now. I have been trying to avoid preservatives and additives for some time now and as highlighted in the article bread it difficult to find, or super expensive, without them so I don’t have it often.

  • This is fantastic, finally a bread that is not full of nasty stuff. I will be going straight out to buy this. My son has ARFID and will only eat white bread, but it’s not terribly healthy. With this bread, at least I know that it is much healthier than the alternatives. Woohoo

  • I cant wait to give this bread a go (so far its always been sold out at my local woolies so it must be good). So good its suitable for those with allergies too. I think nowadays were all looking for cleaner options of ingredients in our foods so this is a step in the right direction.

  • I am glad more and more allergy friendly products are being produced and offered. I don’t agree with Bec’s statement that kids don’t like sourdough bread. My kids were introduced to sourdough and the most rustic and seeded breads from the time they started to eat bread, and they love it

  • Oh I cannot wait to try this bread! We go through that much bread each week and I always feel so guilty with how much my kids have – not anymore! Would love to see them introduce other variants in the future – multigrain and gluten free would be superb!

  • This is such a great product that I’m looking forward to trying! I’ve only been buying bread from bakeries the last few years because grocery store bread texture was so dense and unpleasant. But the hassle with bakery bread is I can’t get it everywhere! I’ll be really keen to give this a go
