    The new beginnings silicone nipple shields are great for a little cover when you have sore nipples during breast feeding. They are made from 100% food grade silicone, they are nice and thin and very comfy, making it easy pain free breast feeding and they are super easy to clean and store away in the cute case provided.   • So easy to use

    The new beginnings silicone nipple shields are great. The base of the shield suctions onto your breast just like the new beginnings manual silicon pump. It draws out my milk which then flows into the nipple part of the shield. My baby girl feeds from the shield and suctions on very nicely, my girl is able to have her normal feed without me enduring any discomfort or irritation. Definitely a must have for new time mummys.

  • Beautiful range

    I've enjoyed using my new beginnings aqua gel pads for quite some time now. They are so very lovely to have for every breast feeding mama out there. When you just need to bring your sore scratched or cracked nipples back to life after those bad breast feeding days. They instantly cool the momemt you put them on, they stick on very well and stay on for as long as you leave them there. They can be reusable if you put them into a clean surface and you can store them in the fridge to keep that cooling sensation after youve used them a few times.

  • Very happy with new beginnings

    New beginnings range is fantastic, i love using the silicone nipple shields when I need to give my nipples and breast a rest. They suction on very well and stay on nicely without moving around. My little currently 5 months old can latch on very well and has done since around almost 4 months. It's so nice to have peace of mind that when i need a little break i can still get that whilst breast feeding and we both feel comfortable.

  • I love new beginnings range

    I absolutely enjoy using my new beginnings range, I wear or use one of there products daily. I find there reusable breast pads very soft and gentle on my skin. They fit very nicely in my bras, they hold alot of leakage and are also water proof so nice to know no leakage or patches through your t-shirts. Also they come vith a very cute washing bag for the mashine. I cannot get over how cheap they are aswell for such a reliable long lasting product.

  • Great for relief

    My little one has tounge tie so when she latches on and sucks, I end up with quite sore nipples. Now she has also started to grab and pinch my breasts. After her last feed before bed I like to apply my new beginnings aqua gel pads for some much needed soothing, i love the instant cooling sensation they give my breasts. They sick on nicely and stay on all night long. If you put them on a piece of baking paper they are also reusable to, i find keeping them in the fridge after 1 or 2 uses really helps keep the cooling and soothing sensations lasting alot long too.

    I love the new beginnings range, the reusable breast pads have become a new favorite and an everday necessity. I find them very comfy, nice and soft on my skin. They hold alot of leakage before needing to pop then in the wash and they come with a cute little wash bag to keep then safe in the washing machine.     I loved the quality of all of the products in this range. The pads did not slip around or bunch up and felt lovely on my skin. My son has been weaned of shields, but I did give him a quick try and he fed well with it. The gel pads were super soothing and definitely recommend fot sore cracked over used nipples!

    The new beginnings aqua gel breast pads are an absolute must have. I wish i knew about them when I had my first and second baby. They are so handy to have especially when baby starts to grab, pull, pintch and bit your breats. I find that i look forward to putting mine on towards the end of most days. They instantly cool and soothe my sore and aching nipples. I highly recommend.

    I find all of the new beginnings products fantastic, you really do get fantastic quality at such a low price. The nipple shields, washable bamboo breast pads and the aqua gel breast pads are all reusable. Such unbeatable savings! I cannot believe the savings I'm made by switching to new beginnings.

  • Great breast pads

    I love the new beginnings breast pads in particular. They do a fantastic job keeping your skin dry while absorbing a lot of leakage. They’re a good size and provide a lot of coverage, while also being discreet enough to wear out with no one noticing them. My only slight critique is that I find the adhesive doesn’t always hold them in place, but that’s not a huge issue and I’ve never had them leak even if they shuffle around a little

    The silicon nipple shields from new beginnings is fantastic, they are so very nice and gentle on my skin. They suction on very well and stay in place for the entire feed. Its really nice to be able to have a break whilst still breast feeding. They are so simple to wash and reuse, and they come with a container for clean storage.

  • Long lasting

    Its been a pleasure trialing the new beginnings maternity range. I've already converted 3 mums at my mum and bubs class to now buy the aqua gel pads. We always talk about many things pregnancy, baby and after birth our bodys and everything inbetween. This one particular catch up we were all talking about what we do after a hard feed with baby biting nipple or scratching boobies. I mentioned that I've trialed the new beginnings aqua gel pads, a few of the mums had never heard of them, a few have already and currently using and i got 3 of them thanking me the week later saying they were life savers.     The new beginnings silicone nipple shields are fantastic! The moment i opend the pack i didnt notice any odores, so I'm already happy. They are BPA, PVC and phthalate free. Easy to use and stick onto my breast/nipple and even easier to clean, just a simple rinse under the tap and then store them in the container once dry ready to use again.

    My new beginnings aqua gel pads get used every single night and popping them on before bed is honestly something i just cannot wait to do each night.     I love being able to have the option of using my nipple shields when needed. Its nice to have the peace of mind knowing bubs will be able to have her normal feed and that i wont be left with any discomfort.     Absolutely love using my new beginnings aqua gel breast pads. After hectic bedtime feeding, my girl at times pinches, scratches and clamps down on my nipples. By the time i put her down my boobs are so sore and i have red scratches all over my boobs and chest. It's nice to have something to rely on to help fix and soothe all of this for me. The moment i pop my aqua gel pads on i feel an instant cooling sensation, i leave them on all night, they stay in very nicely without moving around. When i wake in the morning my boobs and nipples feel so refreshed.

Mum-of-two Rebecca McCracken has spent the last four years reading ingredient lists on pretty much everything she buys at the supermarket.

Like many parents raising kids with food allergies, a quick trip to the supermarket often means checking labels, comparing products and hoping to find something the whole family can eat.

Bec’s four-year-old son and 17-month-old daughter were both born with cow’s milk protein allergy. While her son has since outgrown his allergies, her toddler still reacts to dairy, making even everyday staples like bread a challenge.

“Unless we buy expensive sourdough for seven or eight dollars, we don’t really have a choice.”

Even then, it’s not ideal.

“A kid doesn’t want to eat a sourdough sandwich,” Bec laughs. “And fairy bread on sourdough is not great.”

A New Loaf On The Block

Bec runs an online community for allergy families, so she spends plenty of time sharing recipes, product finds and supermarket discoveries with other parents.

It was one of those parents who first told her about new JUST bread.

“A follower messaged me and said, ‘Oh my gosh, this bread is coming soon.’ I was like, ‘Where? When? I need to know. I’m getting my car keys and running!'”

Made with baker’s flour, water, yeast, vinegar, oil and salt, JUST bread contains no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours.

For Bec, it sounded almost too good to be true. “When we saw JUST bread, I was like, ‘You’re joking.’ A bread that’s fresh baked but in the bread aisle? That’s unheard of for us.”

“It was really exciting for our family and for the allergy community.”

The Family’s Toughest Critic Approved

Of course, there was one person whose opinion mattered more than anyone else’s.

“My toughest critic is my daughter. She is so fussy. We know something is really good if she approves it, and she approves it. She loves it. She’ll eat it plain, toasted, as French toast … whatever. She loves it.”

Bec says she was impressed too.

“I like it. I like that it’s only got minimal ingredients and doesn’t have the additives and preservatives that are in a lot of other brands.”

A Simpler Option For Everyday Families

Bec tried out JUST bread because of her family’s allergies, but she says it has a broader appeal.

“I think everyone is becoming more conscious of additives and preservatives in their food.”

It’s a feeling many of us can probably relate to. We don’t all want to overhaul the way we eat, but plenty of us are paying a little more attention to ingredient lists and looking for products that keep things simple.

Bread is one of those foods that’s always around. It ends up in lunchboxes, on the breakfast table, alongside soup on a cold night and covered in hundreds and thousands at birthday parties. When we eat something that often, it’s only natural to wonder what’s in it.

Being able to make sandwiches without worrying about ingredients. Packing lunchboxes a little more easily. Bringing back fairy bread for birthdays. Sometimes it’s the little things that make family life feel a whole lot simpler.

And while Bec found JUST bread because she needed another allergy-friendly option, its simple ingredient list is likely to appeal to plenty of other families too. After all, when we can choose everyday foods made with ingredients we recognise, that’s a pretty good place to start.

  • It’s at a good price point for families on a tight budget and is “cleaner” but missing the mark with Canola oil . I wouldn’t be running to a supermarket for it but it’s alot better than other varieties on the market. It’s nice to see supermarkets are at least trying and listening

  • Most breads are dairy free anyway so I am surprised by this article. Additive free is a bonus. I always go for a grain bread nowadays and have the kids eating it too so I’ll be sticking with that. It’s always great to have variety out there though for the ones that need it.

  • We bought this bread from the supermarket and it is a good price for bread which of course can indeed be expensive. Each slice is a good size and our favourite meal to create and eat with this bread is cheese toasties. The bread holds and is good to eat.

  • I am so glad to hear about this and will definitely be on a look out for this in the supermarket. I have noticed that there are starting to be more ‘cleaner’ products in the supermarket, meaning consumers are being heard. We are going full circle back to how foods use to be produced before companies got greedy and started taking shortcuts to producing food items. I hope we continue seeing more preservative and additive free options that are affordable come back in the supermarkets.

  • Grabbing your car keys and running for a bread ?? I can’t imagine doing so for a bread lol ! It’s nice to see that more and more allergy friendly products are being produced and put on the market.
    I don’t agree with the statement that “A kid doesn’t want to eat a sourdough sandwich”. It depends on what type of bread you introduce to your kids. My kids grew up with 7 seeds, rustic bread and sourdough and they love it. It’s also quite easy and cheap to make sourdough bread yourself.

  • I haven’t seen this bread in the supermarket but will be looking for it now. I have been trying to avoid preservatives and additives for some time now and as highlighted in the article bread it difficult to find, or super expensive, without them so I don’t have it often.

  • This is fantastic, finally a bread that is not full of nasty stuff. I will be going straight out to buy this. My son has ARFID and will only eat white bread, but it’s not terribly healthy. With this bread, at least I know that it is much healthier than the alternatives. Woohoo

  • I cant wait to give this bread a go (so far its always been sold out at my local woolies so it must be good). So good its suitable for those with allergies too. I think nowadays were all looking for cleaner options of ingredients in our foods so this is a step in the right direction.

  • I am glad more and more allergy friendly products are being produced and offered. I don’t agree with Bec’s statement that kids don’t like sourdough bread. My kids were introduced to sourdough and the most rustic and seeded breads from the time they started to eat bread, and they love it

  • Oh I cannot wait to try this bread! We go through that much bread each week and I always feel so guilty with how much my kids have – not anymore! Would love to see them introduce other variants in the future – multigrain and gluten free would be superb!

  • This is such a great product that I’m looking forward to trying! I’ve only been buying bread from bakeries the last few years because grocery store bread texture was so dense and unpleasant. But the hassle with bakery bread is I can’t get it everywhere! I’ll be really keen to give this a go
