    The new beginnings manual silicon breast pump is your anywhere, anytime pump. Mum life is non stop and the juggle is real! Finding time to pump is hard even on a good day, plus all those wires and cords, power points and space needed just to do so is a whole job on its own. This is why I love my manual pump so much! It's just one little unit thats nice and small fits in my handbag, so very easy to clean and rinse and it litrally takes up no space at all. So very easy to use.

    I love how easy and simple it is using my new beginnings silicone breast pump. It fits nicely in my hand and doesn't take much effort at all to pump, it suctions nicely to my breast and fits well, holds alot of milk. Easy enough to use on one side whilst my girl feeds on the other aswell.

    My little one slept in this morning and whilst enjoying my morning coffee and eating my boobie bikkie, my boobs felt like giant melons. I needed to pump atleast one side as i knew my giel would wake soon. I love the fact new beginnings silicone hand pump is so easy to just grab and use! I was able to pump one side whilst finishing off my coffee and bikkie. The shape fits nicely against my breast and nipple, the suction is nice and easy to apply and it holds a nice amount of liquid.

    So i borrowed the new beginnings breast pump from a friend and ended up purchasing one for myself. Absolutely fantastic purchase, so easy to use, so affordable, easy to clean and store. I also like to leave my pump suctioned onto my breast whilst doing house work to catch all the drops ahh just love my pump.

  • Excellent and easy to use

    I would highly recommend the New Beginnings silicone breast pump and milk storage bags. The pump can be used whilst feeding baby or also with a single pump (manual or electric). It really does collected quite a bit of milk - I could get up to 90ml on one side - and helps to reduce the time of pumping or save some milk while feeding bub . This then leads to the storage bags. These are great quality and are already sterile so you can just placed excess milk in here and freeze. They also have a little indicator which tells you the temp of milk, so very useful.

    I received the silicone manual breast pump and the storage bags in this range and I am very pleasantly surprised with the products, their functionality and quality. It’s easy to get bamboozled by all the brands and their prices, but this comes in at a very, very affordable price and works just as many other pumps of its design. I am very happy with this product and will definitely recommend it wherever possible.

    My new beginnings silicone manual breast pump has become my favorite by far. I have the tommee tippee manual pump cost:$30 and the medela electric breast pump cost:$279. It's small and compact making it so easy to grab and go. You can use it whilst feeding bubs on the otherside so you can collect all tbat liquid gold that would otherwise be soaked up into a breast pad. Absolutely love love love.

  • Very discreet

    I had a class today, thankfully all 15 of us were women. 2 were pregnant and 3 of us were breastfeeding mums. My little one was down stairs in the creche and didnt get braught up for a feed so i knew she was fine playing and taking in her new surroundings. Luckily I was prepared and braught my new beginnings hand pump. I was able to pull it out, unbutton my shirt, throw a sweater over my shoulders (to help cover up), i suctioned on the pump to my breast and was able to pump whilst taking my class. When I popped the bottle filled with milk on the table ready to pop the lid on, one of the girls asked if i had just pumped that amount. I said yes just now, the entire class tuened to look and was completely shocked because noone noticed i was ever pumping. 4 mums asked for the name and brand of the pump and i was more then happy to supply the info.

    My boobs were so full when I visited a friends place that i felt they were going to burst. She had her new beginnings pump and asked if id like to borrow it. I instantly popped it in my breast and allowed it to suction on and then i felt instant relief. I almost filled the bottle so had to empty it.     The bags were great. They sealed well and it was easy to transfer the breast milk from the pump to the storage bags. The bags are durable and are easy to defrost. I don’t lie the idea of them not being reusable, I feel as though we should be reaching a more sustainable approach to storage in this current climate, hence my wariness about repurchasing. In saying that, if you aren’t a frequent pumper, these are a good solution to have on hand.

  • Fabulous pump to catch your letdown

    The pump was great to attach whilst breastfeeding, it suctioned well and I was able to leave it throughout the whole process of latching my 2 year old octopus all of the way through putting her to bed. The pump material seemed thinner than I anticipated however it didn’t affect its effectiveness. It did it’s task and I would recommend, I also loved the easy pour channel for the breast milk, so fantastic knowing exactly where to pour without the risk of losing all of that precious gold!

  • Great products for breastfeeding mums

    These products are so great for breastfeeding busy mummies while being able to pump milk on the run without needing electricity and can then store the milk in the bags to use at another time. These bags can be put in the fridge and freezer which is great for using at a different time and having extra milk on hand!

7 Simple Ideas That’ll Save You Hours Every School Week

If every school week is more like an episode of Survivor at your place, don’t worry, you’re not alone! The struggle to stay on top of the school week mayhem is real – so we’ve put together a bunch of clever ideas to give you back some precious time (and sanity).

There’s nothing difficult about these tips, just solid advice and ideas from a mum who’s been in the school trenches for over a decade.

1. Teach The Kids To Make Some Simple Breakfasts

Hang on, this is about breakfast, why are we showing you a picture of mouth-watering cookies?! These are Four Ingredient Healthy Breakfast Cookies – perfect for a prep-ahead school day brekkie!

Depending on their age there are so many safe and easy breakfasts kids can make themselves. From toasties, to yoghurt pots prepped the night before or just cereal. Not having to make breakfast for everyone will literally save you hours every week!

2. Lay Out Clothes For The Week

Use a hanging organiser or labelled baskets for each day. Include uniforms, socks and undies. Kids can dress themselves without the drama of missing items. I’ll be honest, my kids’ uniforms are expensive, so I wash during the week as they only have a couple of sets. However, if nothing else, having just socks and underwear sorted for the week is an absolute lifesaver!

 

The other huge help is not having to pre-treat stains on my kids’ uniforms, nobody has time for that during the week! My extra tip here is to use a great quality laundry detergent that is powerful enough to remove stains in-wash, so you don’t need to worry about pre-treating. 4. Plan A Weekly School Admin Session

Answer school emails, sign permission forms, top up canteen accounts and check term calendars in one go instead of daily interruptions. You may only need to do this fortnightly or monthly, but just make sure you schedule it in your calendar. Trust me, it saves so much time compared to juggling things bit by bit!

5. Quick-Fire Cleaning Sessions

Set a timer for ten minutes in the afternoon, pop on some music and everyone tidies their zone. This includes the kids emptying their lunchboxes, washing their drink bottles, handing you any notes and putting their clothes in the wash. Small bursts like this stop the house turning into chaos by Friday.

6. Have A Snack Station

Keep a drawer or fridge shelf filled with ready portions. Kids can pack their own snacks for school, and also grab something to eat when they get home. Think ahead and include them in the weekly shopping – ask them what snacks they would like (and cross your fingers they’ll still like them all week!).

7. Set Up A Family Charging Station

One spot for iPads, laptops and phones. No searching for chargers or discovering a dead laptop ten minutes before school! Make sure each child puts their school device on charge when they get home, as part of their Quick-Fire Cleaning Session.

While we can’t promise your school weeks won’t have moments of chaos, taking some of these tips on board will save you time – even if it’s just five minutes here and there. It’s about building realistic habits for the whole family, that will hopefully bring some calm to the school week.

I just use an old school paper calender but its so helpful to remember all the important dates – i always buy a family planner one so theres columns for each of us to write what were doing om certain days so we never run out of space! I need a snack station, but struggle to have healthy (or healthier) choices in the cupboard apart from the usual chips, rice crackers and museli bars!

  • There are some good hints here! I already do have a little snack station in my pantry – a large container filled with all sorts of bars, etc. It’s the first place the kids look for something to eat. I do like the idea of a charging station but I don’t think it would work in my house. Everyone seems to like charging things in their room and it could look messy with multiple cords.

Most of these I already do but it has reminded me to add a few other things to my list to organise before the school year starts in a couple of weeks.   • I love this article. I can relate to a lot of these ideas. For instance, I have a snack shelf in my pantry so my kids can choose and pack their own snacks. No more asking them what they want. We also have a family charging station in the kitchen. iPads, laptops and phones are only allowed to be charged on the kitchen bench. I love the healthy cookies. I must give these a go. The family calendar system is a must too!

  • I totally agree with most of these. We bought some inexpensive cereal dispensers, and that made mornings much easier. And school admin? For me, that is every Wednesday right before a regular appointment. It fitted in perfectly, I never overlooked anything, and if I didn’t need it it was a glorious burst of free time.

  • I love this article and the tips and already follow many of them. I have always been a big fan of schedules and planners and they simply make sense and make sure everyone in the family is on task. I also love snack stations; one for the fridge and one for the pantry; again it makes sense and makes preparing food and lunchboxes and snack times easy.
