  • Finally a milk my son enjoys

I absolutely love the design of the tin, it’s eye catching and fun and makes me excited to give it to my children to try. I tried this milk with my fussy 13 month old since he no longer wants to breastfeed. Usually when I give him any type of milk he either won’t finish it, spit it out or play with it, so I was a little nervous trying this with him. However I was so incredibly happy when he actually finished his entire bottle without spitting any of it or playing with it. He loved it. Phew! It was easy to prepare, although I would prefer a slightly larger scoop so I don’t have to scoop it 6 times. But otherwise I will definitely be purchasing this again in future.

My little boy absolutely loved this milk drink. We have tried other milk drinks in the past and they can be a bit of a hit and miss with him, but he enjoyed Nutura organic milk so much he kept asking for it. The design of the container is really nice and easy to use and looks great in our pantry. He said it tasted yummy and it kept he fuller for longer as he didn’t snack as much throughout the day after having it. Highly recommend and we will be purchasing this in the future.

  • Yummy for my Toddler

Having a toddler can be so hard some days, the picky eating and bringing hike sickness constantly isn’t much fun. Having extra nutrients in a milk drink that he actually likes the taste of makes if so much easier in these hard times. Love that it is made from cows milk and gives my little one a boost especially when he needs it most. Love the easy opening and not having to dig for the scoop was an extra bonus. Definitely recommend to others in the future.

  • Delicious Milk Drink

This toddler milk drink is great. The first thing I noticed was the wonderful package that was amazing to open, easy and fuss free. The smell is delicious and it is so easy to pop into a sippy cup for my little one. He enjoyed the taste (which is the biggest test) – love that it’s nourishing him as a great added bonus to his expanding diet. Thanks for the trial!

  • My toddler loves it

My toddler is so picky with her milk!
I was interested to see how this would go with her as these days, everything I give her is a “no!”.
Surprisingly enough, she actually really liked this milk drink. I put it in her my little pony cup which I usually put her juice in and she just loved it. She drank the whole thing in less than 5 minutes and said it was yum yum yummy.
I honestly was really surprised as she’s never drank milk out of anything but a bottle before (unless it was flavoured milk then out of a popper) but she really took to this well.
My toddler loves this milk so much that every morning when she wakes up, she goes straight for the tin and says, “mummy, drink!” so basically wants to have it for brekkie.
I’m so happy she has finally found something on the healthier side to love other than chicken nuggets, chips and juice.

  • Delicious and convenient

The Nutura Organic Stage 3 Toddler Milk Drink past the “toddler taste-test” with flying colours. The fun and colourful tin made it exciting for my little one. He enjoyed helping me make the drink and mixed it himself. Plus it’s great as a parent to know your little person is consuming Australian Cows’ Milk that is Certified Organic. Nice peace of mind.

  • Toddler Milkshake!

My toddler really enjoyed trying his new toddler milk. He called it a “milkshake” and it was fun including him in the preparation. I felt good knowing that I am giving him a certified organic Australian product. We have incorporated this into his bed time routine and he always drinks the whole cup before going to bed. I think I will continue to use this instead of regular cows milk due to the nutritional benefits for my growing toddler.

  • Abit skeptical about it.

So i was sent this amazing product I believe to test it. I opened it and wow the best part was the spoon on top so i dont have to put my fingers in to dig it all the time. Also i like the fact that its lid is airtight. Overall the product packaging is amazing.

    1. My child did not like the taste of it in the start. I tried to be persistent in giving just coz i saw the ingredients and its benefits and that its organic. He would drink just coz i offer him and he i guess he wants to make me happy lol. but he does not enjoy it and will take time to finish it and make faces ????

    2. I found it constipated him and he does not open his bowel everyday unlike before.

  • Toddler Organic Milk

So it has been a couple weeks now and my little one is still enjoying this milk. My little one is picky his food, he has learnt from his friend that vegetables are yucky so he won’t eat them so I have the added reassurance that this toddler milk still has lots of nutrients that he would otherwise be getting if he ate a balanced diet.
This toddler milk is easy to make.

  • Fussy toddler took it!

I have tried several brands for my fussy toddler to take as his milk drink. He refused everything even after one sip. I was actually expecting the same for this Nutura Organic Toddler Milk Drink, but to my surprise he actually finished it! He would usually take quite a but of time to finish his food/drink but not this milk drink. He was able to finish it in one sitting. Bonus for the attractive tin!

  • Creamy Aussie goodness

We have been looking for a toddler milk for Isla that Is 100% organic certified and free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. Bonus, love that nuturaorganic is also 100% Australian owned and made with our own Aussie cows milk. This will be our new household staple I have only given a 4.5 star as I found the powder didn’t mix that well. Otherwise, it was a great taste with all the important bonuses

  • Premium Australian Milk Drink

Nutura Organic Toddler Milk Drink is full of vitamins and minerals to meet the nutritional needs of a growing toddler. It contains prebiotics to help with the immune and digestive system as well as omega 3 and omega 6 to help with brain and eye development.

The packaging looks premium with a more secure snap lock lid. I like how the measuring spoon is on the top of the foil and not inside the can of milk powder so it limits contamination by not needing to reach into it with your fingers.

I’ve been trying this for my 16 month old toddler and he loves it as he keeps on asking for seconds. It tastes great, made from organic ingredients and Australian made.

  • Not for my little one, but great Aussie made and owned product with awesome tin design!

I tried my 18 month old with the Nutura Organic milk drink in his sippy cup. I love that the product is Australian made and owned, organic, and the tin design is fabulous! Great idea to store the scoop inside the lid!

However, after a week of offering the milk drink to my son, he still didn’t drink more than a quarter of a cup, and it just wasn’t for him.

  • Convenient

This was our first time trying toddler milk and it was a success! Using cold water it was a bit difficult trying to mix it in a cup as there were still some lumps, warmer water or a shaker would probably be better. My son is still getting the hang of using a cup, but he really enjoyed what he managed to drink and finished the whole serving which is much better than his attempts at cows milk. I like that it can be stored in the cupboard and you have 4 weeks from opening to use it, unlike a carton of milk, and that it has added vitamins and minerals.

How to choose the best lunch box for school

When you’re searching for a kids’ lunch box, take the time to work out what will best suit their needs. If you make the right choice and invest in a quality one, it will last many years.

  • Box, bento or bag? If your child doesn’t like different foods touching, a bento lunch box is a great choice. Also, think about whether they prefer cut-up or whole fruit; a bento is better suited to cut food, while bags and boxes suit whole fruit. Bags are fantastic if you like to pack separate containers, like smaller bento or snack containers.
  • Freshness is a must – An insulated bag or box will keep everything cool and fresh until snack and lunchtime. But you can also get boxes that come with cold and ice packs. Remember, kids’ lunches often sit at room temperature for up to 5 or 6 hours before they’re eaten, so insulation and coolness are important. Check out how to keep school lunches safe in the heat.
  • Easy-to-clean design – Check if the box is dishwasher-safe, or for lunch bags, if they’re machine-washable.
  • Leak-proof – The last thing you want is a soggy mess at lunchtime, so if buying a hard lunch box, look for designs that are leak-proof with proper seals.
  • Child-friendly – Depending on your child’s motor skills and independence, you may need to start with a product that’s simple to open and close.
  • The right size – We tend to pack way too much in our kids’ lunches, so think about how much realistically you’ll need to pack for your child when choosing the size of their lunch box. You may also need to consider the size of their school bags.

What to put in kids’ lunch boxes

Health professionals agree that kids need a good balance of lean protein, grains, fruit and vegetables throughout the school day. Skip the processed food and try to reach for whole foods that pack a punch in the nutrient department. Here are some great ideas:

  • Grilled chicken or turkey wraps with fresh salad
  • Crackers and vegetable sticks with healthy dips like hummus
  • Whole-grain pasta with cherry tomatoes and your choice of cheese
  • Zucchini slice cut into rectangles for easy stacking in an insulated box
  • Almond-meal slice with raspberries or blueberries – or both!
  • Vegetarian sausage rolls – these freeze well and make a great meat-free lunch when cold.

  • Getting ready for the return to school has started to kick in so this was a timely read. We have the yum box and i love it, it is so easy for my daughter to open and close on her own. I find the lunch cooler bags also a great idea however some days depending on what else needs to go to school, they can be quite bulky to include in the school bag. I need to do some more research this year as i like the idea of being able to watch it in the washing machine, that is a clever idea.

  • Along with all of the other back to school products; there is also a good range of lunch boxes available for people to buy. It has been fun to see the wide range of bottles and lunch boxes that are available for the new year for school and for work.

  • Lunch boxes have come such a long way since my eldest was a kid, he’s now 26! There’s really a solution to everything from food heating, cooling, dividers, pockets etc etc. Lunch boxes are a real fashion accessory and so on-trend these days. I personally love the Bento lunch boxes. They save on plastic and separate different foods.

  • There are so many great lunch box option out there indeed ! I’ve always liked the Bento style lunch boxes for my kids. It reduces the use of plastic lunch bags and packaged food which aren’t very good for the environment and it encourages to present a good variety of foods (which is not only better nutrition wise but lao to prevent our kids from getting bored with same foods all the time.

  • There are some really fabulous options here. So many variations of colour, shape and size. I love the bento style lunch boxes, so handy to keep food separate and eliminate the use of plastic packaging. The machine washable bags are a great idea too. They can get grubby so fast, this would be so much easier to maintain

  • This has gotten much easier since my kids hit high school – they have strong opinions about their lunch boxes, so I don’t have to think about it so much anymore! However, I am strongly in favor of bento style boxes regardless of their age. They’re easy to clean, easy to pack, and invite appropriate sized portions.

  • Great article! Our kids are so lucky, when it comes to lunchboxes, they really are spoilt for choice. There are so many to pick from. Regarding sandwiches, my eldest son, used to hate sandwiches for school lunches. It wasn’t until many years later that I discovered that he’d throw out his sandwiches in the playground bins. My son’s an adult now and he still hates sandwiches. He only likes “hot” lunches. So glad he lives on his own now and can make his own “hot” lunches just the way he likes them.

  • Wow, lunch boxes have really come such a long way from when I was taking a lunch box to school. Feel old, like “back in my day”, but we were lucky to have options like are available now. While I like some of these designs, I feel like they aren’t super practical.

  • These lunchboxes are beautiful but are they really worth the expensive price tag? I have been through so many lunch boxes and bags over the years and found the best it to use an insulated lunchbox bag with ice brick and use small containers to keep individual items fresh and assessable.

  • I love the bbox lunch boxes. They are so reliable and tough when kids throw their bags around. Easy to wash and store. I have used the we can be tiny snackies at home too. The boys love choosing a certain animal shape. They wash well, are durable and great quality.

  • My kids are old enough now to pack their own lunches and I am so happy to see the great choices they are making. They take left over meals, cook food in the morning to take and now I am confident they aren’t throwing away sandwiches! I do have the chilly bags for them, I find they fit better into bags

  • Love our bento b.boxes. So easy to pack. I do however worry that they’re made of plastic, not metal….

  • My daughter uses a bento box now for work and sometimes an insulated bag in summer, but when she was at school it was a rectangular lunch box with no compartments. It was very easy to wash each day, just the box and lid, and it could still be filled with rolls/sandwiches and snacks.

  • Lunchboxes are so important these days. Back in my day it was a brown paper bag or the exact same lunch box that everyone else had and there were three compartments. Today its such a fashion statement and as much as the lunchbox itself is judged so are the contents.

  • I absolutely love the bb box quite sturdy. It took many lunch box to find one that would last. Before this lunch box we had a stuck on you. I found the stuck on you lunch box didn’t last when the hinge’s snapped they wouldn’t get back to me (only had for a short time and my youngest couldn’t open it so it wasn’t dropped. Just opened it after the 8th time and snapped). The bb box has lasted the last year and a half and still going strong
